Next Generation's Tim Rogers asks an important question: "Hey Japan! What's up with the big friggin' heads?" Specifically in relation to baseball games.
This is a question we've asked ourselves many times. From the perspective of human anatomy, the average Japanese game character is a grotesque abomination of homo sapienism. If any of Harvest Moon's or Diagaea's bobble-headed characters was incarnated in the flesh, the deformed mutant would wobble for a second as gravity fought with his hundred pound, fluid filled skull. Gravity would eventually triumph; the freak would then topple over to smash his skull against the pavement, which would promptly explode on impact in a sickening spray of cerebral fluid and gooey brains.
Go read it. It's surprisingly interesting.
