It’s May, which means it’s time for Japanese game store Meteor to hold its annual Famicase exhibition, an event where artists from all over the world come together to design fake Nintendo games.

One day, I’ll actually make the trip and see them in the flesh (there’s a cool little film about Meteor you can watch here), but until then, I’ll be admiring them from afar like everyone else.
The idea is that the artists come up with a piece of art that not only looks neat, but captures the mood and/or design of the game they’ve dreamt up as well.

Some of the artists involved include Cory Schmitz, Patrick Gordon and Kotaku reader togovero, aka Vittorio Giorgi.
