NES Controllers Making Music

The RES stands for Recycling Entertainment System. It uses six chipped Nintendo Entertainment System controllers which are all connected to a main pod that reads and converts the signal to midi. The RES output is connect to a computer. Each controller is playing sounds from a different sound back, which means that each player can not only mix but also play individual sounds: bass, drums, percussion, percussion, voices/loops/scratching and synthesizer. Hit the jump for more clips of the RES in action, and do shut your eyes while listening. They actually are making music.
