A Ton Of Indie Games Are Coming To PS4 And Vita

Well then. At their Gamescom press conference, Sony just announced a bootload of indies that will be making their exclusive console debuts on PS4 and/or the PlayStation Vita, including Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number and Rogue Legacy.

N++ will be appearing on PS4, while Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Volume (the recently announced game from Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell), Vlambeer's Wasteland Kings and Rogue Legacy will be making debuting on PS4 and Vita. Those games join three more games that were announced a bit earlier in the press conference: Fez, Velocity 2x and Starbound, all coming to PS4 and Vita.

Many of those games are already available on PC (and Fez on Xbox 360); those making their "exclusive" console debut will most likely be timed exclusives. It's probable that all of those games will wind up on other platforms eventually. But man—any way you slice it, that's a lot of indie juice on Sony platforms. Binding of Isaac on the Vita? I'll take it.

Update: Sony has posted a full roundup of their announced indie games at the PlayStation blog. The full list, which adds a few more games, is below:

  • Assault Android Cactus (Witch Beam)
  • Fez (Polytron Corporation)
  • Final Horizon (Eiconic Games)
  • Guns of Icarus Online (Muse Games)
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital)
  • N++ (Metanet)

I played a little bit of Samurai Gunn at GDC this year and hoo buddy, that game is fun.
