Smell that? That's the fragrant odor of rotting vegtetation, courtesy of the nearly five million players that didn't bother tending their virtual crops in FarmVille 2 last week.
While some 50 million folks did log in last week to click on crops like there was no tomorrow, 4.6 million is a substantial chunk of players putting their pastures out to pasture. Is it the allure of CityVille, Zynga's most recent city-builder, or are folks just getting bored?
My farm is rotting, but that's mainly due to the fact that I have absolutely no time to click anymore. There are too many good social games out there to put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak.
