Batman: Arkham City Looks, Um, Different on the Wii U [UPDATE]

These screens are supposed to be showing off the new armored looks Battle Armored Tech (B.A.T.) Mode for Batman and Catwoman in the Wii U edition of last year's hit superhero game. But, really, these shots highlight the fact that Arkham City doesn't look demonstrably better on Nintendo's upcoming console. Honestly: these images look terrible.

UPDATE: The images that were originally published in this story appeared more washed out than they should have, due to a processing error in the image previewing program we used to construct this post. We've updated the article with images that more accurately depict the color saturation of the original shots. We apologize for the error. If you're going to judge the looks of Arkham City on the Wii U, judge them by the shots we have here.

Expectations have been that the Wii U would at least match the visuals currently possible on the PS3 and Xbox 360. But these screens look they're hitting the lowest end of those consoles' capabilities. It's worth noting that Rocksteady Games aren't handling the Wii U version of this Bat-game. Instead, WB Games Montreal is handling the port.
