Mad Catz's Cyborg Line Grows a Sexy Pair of Ears

I think I've finally discovered the sinister plot underlying Mad Catz's visually and functionally striking line of Cyborg gaming products: They're preparing to build an actual cyborg, and the newly-announced F.R.E.Q. 5 Pro Gaming Headset is the ears.

Mad Catz already has the eyes, the hands, the legs, and the neural interface (fudging it a bit). Now they're preparing to unleash the F.R.E.Q. 5 Stereo Gaming Headset, all the better to hear you with, my dear.

This Cyborg's ears come outfitted with precision-balanced, extra large 50mm drivers with neodymium magnets; a detachable microphone; and convenient on-ear controls for volume and muting. You can even swap out the USB plug for a 3.5mm audio cable and use it as the world's most noticeable iPhone headset.

The latest bit of Cyborg kit is due to hit stores in the spring. Hit up the official product page for more info on what everyone will be wearing once the Cybermen have their way.
