When the people at Ubisoft aren't making a thousand Just Dance games, they're making a thousand Assassin's Creed games. I play the latter and enjoy most of them. But can I like this new one that's called Assassin's Creed Recollection? It's... different.
What I know, I know from a Ubisoft press release.
Recollection is a "real-time board game from the Ubisoft Montral studio that will allo players to live an entirely new experience in the world of assassin's Creed." Not helpful, right? The release then says we can amass artwork created for other AC games. Joy! And? We can "compete in political battles in a real-time board game with key characters and locations from the games." Better.
The game uses characters from Assassins' Creed 2 and AC: Brotherhood (in other words, not this year's new game, Revelations). It supports multiplayer, includes the short film Assassin's Creed Embers and... has an 8-10-hour campaign that brings players from Barcelona to Constantinople, the latter being the setting for Revelations.
Very strange. I don't know what to make of it, but it's supposedly coming out in November. And Ubi Montreal is the studio that leads the development of the main Assassin's Creed games... this is a strange one, people.
