Japanese PS3 Game Pulled for Inappropriate RatingS

Atelier Meruru: The Alchemist of Arland 3 is a role-playing game. It's supposed to be rated CERO A, which is the equivalent of the ESRB E. It was supposed to.

According to the Japanese rating board, the CERO A is not suitable for the title, and thus, it will be pulled.

The game went on sale on June 23 in Japan.

According to an official release, CERO stated it discovered the game was not properly reviewed and rated, and it will re-examine the title once again and release the title with a new rating. CERO did not specify exactly what the objectionable content was.

While Japan waits for Atelier Meruru: The Alchemist of Arland 3, the second game in the Atelier trilogy, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, makes its way to North America for a localized release this September. It is rated T for Teen.
