Silent Hill 3's big screen adaptation adds two more today with the casting of Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Memento) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Caligula, Star Trek: Generations). The actors—not pictured, obviously—will play Claudia and Leonard Wolf, respectively, in Silent Hill Revelation 3D.
The Wolfs were the father daughter pair featured in Silent Hill 3, both firm believers in the Order and very much cultish bad guys. Claudia Wolf aimed to succeed in bringing Paradise to earth where Dahlia Gillespie from the original Silent Hill failed. The character of Dahlia will return in the next Silent Hill movie, played by Deborah Kara Unger again.
Moss and McDowell join actors Adelaide Clemens as Heather Mason and the returning Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean. While the plot certainly appears to be sticking more closely to Silent Hill 3 than the first Silent Hill movie did to its source, we're curious to see how this is all going go come together in a cohesive plot. (Not that failing to understand the plot of a Silent Hill game ever prevented me from enjoying one...)
Silent Hill Revelation 3D is filming now and planned for release in 2012.
