Big-Headed Caveboys And Infinite Adventures In This Week's Nintendo Download

While we patiently wait for the 3DS Virtual Console to arrive, Nintendo continues to deliver fresh new and old content to the Wii and DSi, with the ginormous cranium of Hudson's Super Bonk headlining this week's offerings.

Yes, North America finally gets a Virtual Console release of Super Bonk, the side-scrolling caveman platformer that hit the Virtual Console in Japan and Europe last year. Bonk travels through time in this epic Super Nintendo adventure, desperately trying to make it back to the prehistoric era, the only place his giant primitive brain can process.

DSiWare isn't too shabby either this week, with Sonic Powered Co. releasing Anonymous Notes Chapter 1 - From The Abyss, an infinite role-playing game dungeon that continues even after the final boss takes its final breath. Lemon Games' A Fairy Tale does the puzzle-based role-playing adventure thing, while Tasuke's Absolute Baseball puts players in charge of managing a baseball team all the way to the championship.

The short end of the stick this week was definitely picked by WiiWare, with an ocean-spanning fishing adventure and another demo not giving players much cause for logging into the Wii Shop Channel.

And the long wait for the 3DS Virtual Console continues.
