Thanks to a project called Move Server, enthusiast game developers and academics may one day build Move-powered games for the PC.AdvertisementMove Server is briefly detailed in a Sony-sponsored session planned for this year's Game Developers Conference. Senior developer support engineer John McCutchan from Sony Computer Entertainment America will apparently explain what Move Server is in just a few weeks. From the description of the session, Update on PlayStation Move Development: "This talk will bring developers up to speed on developing for the PlayStation Move controller. We will cover developing for the new PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter accessory. We will discuss the new Move Server project that will make it possible for academics and hobbyists to develop software using the PlayStation Move controller on their own PCs."PlayStation Move's competitor Kinect may also come to the PC, officially. Hackers and open source software devs have already created gobs of fascinating Kinect hacks for the PC, a promotional opportunity that Sony may not want to pass up.
