From Voting Machine To Pac-Man MachineS

Let's say you have a direct-recording electronic (DRE) voting machine. And it's been shown that it is insecure — you can't use it for voting anymore. What should you do with it?

You'd turn it into a Pac-Man machine. Yes? A group of researchers from Princeton and the University of Michigan did just that.

They took a voting machine used in Williamsburg, Virginia in the 2008 primaries. The city had switched to optical scan voting machines and sold off its DREs. But why Pac-Man? In celebration of the game's 30th anniversary, that's why!
