Gamescom 2010: Day One Round-Up

Day two of Germany's Gamescom show is about to begin, so could there be a better time to recap what happened on day one? Nope. Don't think there could be.

The big events were an Electronic Arts press conference, a Sony press conference and - slightly ahead of time - a bunch of announcements from Microsoft, including the company's first two new, original PC games since what feels like the 17th century.
