Playstation Move Demo Stations Set to Blanket the Country

Sony's motion-sensing Playstation Move hits stores next month, but that doesn't mean you're going to have to wait a bit more than a month to check it out.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America confirmed to Kotaku that they are gearing up for quite a marketing push, bringing the controller add-on for the Playstation 3 to malls, stores, roving trucks and festivals all over the country.

"We're going to have interactive kiosks at a variety of mall and pop-up locations, our Patrol Truck which travels the country, Lollapoolza, Voodoo Festival, in store kiosk activations and a variety of other locations, giving everyone a chance to try PlayStation Move," a Sony spokesman told us.

A reader tells us that both Best Buy and Wal-Mart are among the stores where the Move kiosks will be set up. Those particular locations will have kiosks from Sept. 11 until January.

No word yet on which malls the Move kiosks will be popping up in or where the Patrol Truck will be making stops, but given the nature and number of kiosks and demo stations being readied it sounds like there's a good chance you'll be able to check the peripheral out before you pick one up.
