Kotaku 'Shop Contest: The Big Box

Shopping met 'shoppin in last week's contest, challenging our artful dodgers to imagine virtual retail as a brick-and-mortar storefront.

We had some outstanding visual one-liners. Zinger314, Metallipod, STiX and, most especially, NecroMerlin and Vespene, take a bow. Salari and Quest both went the Valve menu route at Costco. I still prefer the churros.

Mr. S., you buried the lede!!! Kotick Fried Chicken? It should have stood alone! Spy collecting carts in the parking lot was a nice touch though. If Walmart wasn't enough of a slander on Activision's mass-market line, Dangerwillrobinson showed up with the more obvious McRendering of the idea.

Other worthy finalists; FouFromage, because I like Borderlands, and Lilith's ass; Jimmy_Jazz with the meta-entry o' the week; zekeknight for overall quality. For the winner, I battled like hell. Vespene was a close-runner up as Tanarchi and pete359 went to a photo finish. I declare both of them the winner in a dead heat. Good job all. See you in here tomorrow.
