Star Wars: The Force Unleashed executive producer Haden Blackman was at Comic-Con last weekend to show off the sequel to that game. Today, the 13 year LucasArts vet resigned, three months before The Force Unleashed II is due to ship.
IGN received a statement from Blackman, who confirmed his exit from LucasArts by saying that "now is the best time for me to move on and explore new creative challenges and I look forward to the next phase of my career."
Blackman has served as a writer of numerous Star Wars games, books and comic books and currently shares writing duties on Batwoman for DC Comics.
LucasArts saw a group of high profile executive departures earlier this year, when president Darrell Rodriguez and other members of his team abruptly resigned.
According to a statement from LucasArts, Blackman's departure will not affect Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II's October 26 ship date.
