Ash, you are 23 years old. It's time to maybe consider settling down, or at least step up your game and go big.
I've become the Pokemon Master like thirty times in the last 13 years ash.
Come on, you can do it, it's not hard.
Your mom worries Ash.
You aren't going anywhere, you don't call, and you just leave her alone all with that Mr. Mime.
Mr. Mime Ash.
He's like the creepy guy who watches people showering at the gym, as a pokemon.
Is that what you want to leave to take care of your mom?
Some creepy guy, with psychic powers?
Come on Ash, get it together man.
I think as individuals video games obviously shape us. We have to make time for them. We have spend hours and hours of our lives dedicating ourselves to worlds, characters, campaigns, and treasures. We have to identify aspects about them that we like so that we can choose more games that we'll enjoy. These preferences and the time spent playing become a part of our identity.
As a culture I think we will just have to wait and see, such things can generally only truly be seen in retrospect.
I must admit however that, if my peers are anything to go by video games have already made a huge impact on at least one generation. The way we work, the way we relax after a hard day, the way we bond, in short the way we live.

This just in:
Sega has a new Crazy Taxi series "reboot" in the works!
-Switching between 3 drivers on the fly to mix things up!
-Your taxi is really a were-cab that turns into a slow, clunky cadillac just when you started to enjoy the fast pace!
-Great emphasis on a deep story where love can bloom, even on the highway!
-"Returning to the series roots" as they felt Crazy Taxi 3 just did not have good enough formula to stick with!
Ash's Journal. October 12th, 2010: Charmander carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This world is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The tall grass are extended gutters and the gutters are full of Ratattas and when the random encounters finally scab over, all the trainers will drown. The accumulated filth of all their battles and breeding will foam up about their waists and all of the Elite 4 and Gym Leaders will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll whisper "Gotta Catch 'Em All."
