Screens (And Music), Fresh From The APB Beta

APB, a game that can best be described as a massively-multiplayer Grand Theft Auto, is currently in beta testing. One of those testers has been kind enough to pass along some proper, in-game screenshots of the experience.

And I am impressed. Not by an inventory screen (above) or a low-fi screenshot (top, courtesy of the testers sub-par rig), but by that music editor (below). Apparently the game has a little custom music feature, where your chosen ditty is played to someone you kill, or is played to everyone should you win a match.

Harkening back to the days of custom ringtones, if you know the notes behind a tune you can program pretty much anything you want. Our tester says some of the songs he heard ranged from the Knight Rider theme to Final Fantasy VII's battle ditty.
