Dress Your Xbox Avatar In University Pride

Display your love for your favorite institute of higher learning with the Xbox Live Avatar Marketplace University Collection, as long as yours is one of the top 30 U.S. Universities.

If Georgia made the cut, odds are your favorite did too. Disruptive Media Publishers today announces the release of the University Collection on the Xbox Live Marketplace, a collection of hats, shirts, hoodies, shoes, jackets, and wrist bands featuring the logos of the top 30 U.S. universities. The collection is officially licensed through The Collegiate Licensing Company, which up until now has been a bit wary of digital personalization.

"Universities have been cautious with regards to the digital personalization space, but we have been impressed with the creativity and capabilities of Disruptive Publishers," said David Kirkpatrick, Vice President of Non-Apparel Marketing, The Collegiate Licensing Company. "We are excited about Disruptive Publishers' depth of licensed offerings as well as their plans for collegiate expansion."

Items in the collection range from 40 Microsoft point wristbands to 240 point varsity jackets. $3 for a varsity jacket might be a bit steep, but it's definitely cheaper than actually participating in college sports.
