Had to the U.S. Consulate today to renew Mini-Bash's passport and make one for Micro-Bash. Something I noticed: At the U.S. Consulate, there are not fancy Japanese toilets. Like, there are regular American toilets — no seat warmer, no bidet, no butt washer, nothing.

What's more, they have toy cars for kids to play with while waiting. And...... they're not Japanese Tomica toy cars, but American Hot Wheels toy cars. Coupled with the metal detector we had to pass through before getting clearance to enter the building, it actually kinda felt like we went on vacation for a bit this morning.
