Something's rotten on Alderaan as BioWare, LucasArts, and Dark Horse launch Star Wars: The Old Republic, Threat of Peace, the online comic book prequel to the upcoming massively multiplayer game.

When BioWare first announced a bi-weekly online comic book series telling the back story behind Star Wars: the Old Republic, the combination Star Wars/comic book geek in me got all excite. Now that the first issue has arrive I'm a little less enthusiastic. Alex Sanchez's art is stellar, and from what I can tell the writing seems okay. It's just that the entire first issue is three pages long, and these aren't three panel-stuffed pages either. Hopefully the series will add a bit more length as things pick up. Until then, enjoy your three pages.
