My apologies to Charlie Gavin over at Blank Pixels. We had a conversation earlier today in which he said he knew when the Left 4 Dead demo was OTW, based on a tip he got from his corner shop, and I was real skeptical of the source. I should have done some homework, because it turns out his info is good. Reserving Left 4 Dead at GameStop gets you access to its demo early, from Nov. 6 to Nov. 11. The game drops Nov. 18, so my guess is anyone who doesn't preorder could see the demo about a week in advance of the full release.
