Just just? typo?
Also... how can anyone be excited for killzone 2 after the first one got such horrible reviews... honestly...
Sweet - Lookin forward to the sequels there
yep, you forgot a "2" there with Motorstorm, or the original press release missed it
Aw man, I was scarred by Siren, that game will always creep me out now. I was playing roller coaster builder or some crap on a friend's computer, he already passed out on the couch, but we forgot we left siren on and running, so about one hour later after 60 minutes of pure silence, some crazy zombie guy starts screaming out of the stereo about killing me or something, I don't know, I forgot the premise. Anyways, yeah. Woooo....
(There ya go, another story ya never knew you didn't wanna know.)
Not bad, but I do hope they have a couple tricks up there sleeves for E3 and not just its 2009 lineup. Id like to see a couple more first party games this fall.
I am way to excited by a new Pixel Junk game
June for Elefunk(if the placeholder is correct)Looks like a very good lineup for the summer/fall for Sony.I'll be playing everyone of these titles.I think it's going to be June for Wipeout too.
I would like to go ahead and get a LBP demo since there isn't going to be a beta.Lets get a sp level and a creation level :)
Resistance 2 and Socom will make me a very happy man
@JakeDunn: they did not want to refer to it as a "2" hence they (Sony) left it off and gave it a name not a number. that what i read in the article that was posted here about it awhile ago
Now how about God of War 3 and a game from the ICO/Shadow of the Colossus people. That'll really get me wanting a PS 3.
So.. Final Fantasy XIII is still far away..
@vega480: Thats correct, Motorstorm 2 is now officially named Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.
@JakeDunn: IIRC, they dropped the "2" from the name of the game officially.
Looking forward to SOCOM - I love Warhawk, but that game doesn't have much in the way of tactical urban fighting (Omega Factory comes close, but isn't quite it).
I'm also seeing/hearing good things about Wipeout HD. :)
The console wars are over. PS3 has the newest Buzz game.
@Erwos:
Wipeout looks great.I've never really been a big fan and it does use most of the maps from the PSP games,but it does look beautiful.
@Dontdrop:
Maybe E3 but I doubt it.Sony was looking for programmers for it so I imagine it's a ways off.
there is still infamous as well. i'm sure that's coming this year. maybe sony will address the bioshock coming to PS3 rumor? i really wouldn't mind if they did.
you guys do realize that several of those games are multiplatform right?
and why is NBA 09 mentioned 3 times?
@phantam:
The EA games..that's it.
@enewtabie:
We can only hope.
@CockroachMan:
Umm...I think this is the list of first party release titles. I thought FFXIII is third party. Not that I know the release date, but I don't think Sony controls Square Enix.
Lolz... Sony should get rid of its NBA sports division. No offense but from what I've seen so far... super meh. Why couldn't they do a good job on like what they did with MLB the show?
@CockroachMan: The guys over at SE are never ones to go actually tell anyone when they're going to release a game. If they do, they're struck with Blizzard syndrome, and are immediately destined to break that date and push it back a few months. I mean, what ever happened to DQ9?
So Resistance 2, Killzone, Motorstorm, maybe LBP & Socom look like the purchases for me. I guess most of those are maybe's until I hear more info, but I'm excited for the first 3.
But I'm not seeing how this "destroys" the 360 lineup. There's about an equal number of games over there that I'm interested in as well.
Obviously it's all a matter of opinion, and I'm not looking to bait anyone here, but I guess I've just been hearing around here how Sony will own the end of '08 almost as if it were a fact.
@phantam:
Crap forget what I said about EA..looking at something else.
What is multiplatform??
@phantam:
How would that happen, most of these are first party games.
"twelve downloadable episodes" Very cool, can't wait.
Killzone 2 isn't a triple A title, it's a generic shooter that Sony is throwing money at and hyping to be a triple a "above mediocrity" shooter. Resistance is better than Killzone.
@Killtacular:
Yeah it's a matter of opinion really. I have both consoles and after what was shown at the press event for 360.I'm only interested in Gears 2 and maybe Banjo while pretty much the entire lineup for the PS3 looks good.But,like you said its a matter of opinion.
@phantam: So? Are you saying one cannot anticipate a game if it is also on another console? My brother upgraded from a PS2 to a PS3 because of GTAIV. He cared not a jot that it was also on the 360. Many of these games may also convince those hordes of PS2 owners to make the jump.
@phantam: What the hell are you on about? All these games are properties put out by first party or published by Sony exclusively. Guess why there's no MGS4, HAZE and so on.
Seriously, pass me some of the stuff you are smoking.
I'm surprised at how positive the reaction has been to this announcement, it all seems fairly underwhelming to me.
Team Ico, Heavy Rain, White Knight Story, GOW III and FFX III, or my Excite-O-Meter stays on idle mode.
...which doesn't mean I won't be getting a couple of those games up there - I'm just not about to shriek and faint for any of them.
@Candlejack: Dammit you're right, how did I miss that! Clearly Phantam's a troll.
@Killtacular:
Three 1rst person shooters, a racing game and a platformer. One, that looks a lot like an Xbox lineup. :)
Solid line-up, but I'm honestly wanting some more, unique titles, and not just rehashes/remakes and sequels.
The PS3 does seem to be the most engaging and at the forefront when it comes to new, different, and unique gaming experiences, even again the Wii's waggle controls.
@enewtabie: It really is opinion. I mean if one company had nothing of any value coming out, well then it might change things.
I dunno, I guess I just look at it like I want to be able to play all the games coming out, not just games on one system. If I only had an Xbox, my reaction would be to want a PS3 so I could play those games as well, not bash it because I don't have one or can't afford one.
I only have one question: Why is he wearing gloves?
@kylo4: To be honest, we don't really know that much about either of these games, so I don't really see how you can make these assumptions.
About half them games i can't wait to try out. Things are looking great for PS3. I own both systems, but more and more i been playing my PS3 with GTA and now that Metal Gear is coming out, and with it having MGO. Socom is one i'm looking foward too, At first i wasn't sure if dropping the money on the PS3 was a good idea but now i know it was worth it.
WTF... not a single RPG on the horizon? The only thing in this list I am really looking forward to is Wipeout HD and Motorstorm 2. Mediocre generic shooters like Killzone and Resistance can be found on the 360 shelves in dozens and I don't care for the uber-hyped LBP at all. I hope there will be some decent third party exclusives, otherwise my PS3 can do a lot of folding for the next 6-9 months...
Not a 360 fanboy or anything.. but beyond Wipeout HD hardly seems impressive to me.
Give me god of war 3 in march please!
Kinda worried about socom, not a fan of the PSN. Kinda glad im getting a 360 soon... too human.
@Candlejack: NBA 09 is a Sony exclusive?
