Re: Using Two Computers At Once, So Awesome!

Tristan's birthday is Saturday. He turns a whopping seven years old. Kinda creepy, that a child of mine can be that old. He's getting a new bicycle from us, shhhh, don't tell anyone. The grandparents have flown in for the occasion and there will be much eating of cake over the weekend. I doubt I'll have a single second to spare for GTA IV, but we're definitely going to fiddle with some Wii games.

Oh, I use two computers, one with two screens, while I'm working. It's great. Elvis had four televisions in his home. It looks like he took a chainsaw to a wall and just stuck those big old cabinet TVs in the wall. So weird.

My great uncle actually had 2 houses. One house to sleep in and all that and another filled with about 40 TVs. Literally 40 tvs. The 2 houses were right next to each other. There were TVs everywhere. It wasn't aeally big house either. Fucking insane.

Seven is a great age, I think I enjoyed the years just before the teens the best.
My daughter is now twenty one, and believe me, that's a whole fucking world of scary.

Hahaha.... 7... 9 years till he can drive, 11 years till he's an adult, 14 years till he can drink.

Oh... and it doesn't get much better than two monitors... especially when one's a 32" HDTV.

I'm sure somebody has posted this before, but I might as well do it as well. If you use two or more computers, you absolutely must make use of this fantastic, brilliant little program, called Synergy.

Synergy allows you to share a single mouse and keyboard between two or more computers, as long as both of those systems are connected to the net. Unfortunately there's no window sharing (yet), but you CAN share clipboard data between the two.

Happy Birthday, Tristan! We're having a Pirate birthday party for my son's 7th birthday on Sunday. I going to be burying a pinata for the treasure hunt. Should be fun. Its funny, his birthday is on Cinco de Mayo and my daughters is on St. Patrick's Day, which are the two holidays that everyone associates with getting drunk off their asses. It gonna make things interesting as they get older.
