Going to Comic-Con in San Diego this year? May as well pick a couple of these up, make some cash money off some die-hard Gears fans unable to make the trip. This NECA Gears figure will only be available at this year's Comic-Con, and depicts Delta Squad's Anthony Carmine, presumably only moments before his untimely demise. A pic so big you can almost smell that newly-opened toy smell is after the jump.

I remember when me and my roommate were co-oping through gears, he was like "you KNOW something's gonna happen to that helmet guy".
Why aren't the faceless COGs beefed up on 'roids like the main characters?
I mean, look at his arms. Thin like toothpicks compared to Fenix's biceps.
Ahh carmine. We hardly knew ye!
The gun looks way too girlie, other than that nice figure
Amazing... it has 36 points articulation. Interchangeable weapons. Helmet comes off to show carmine's face. Weapons are magnetized to fit on his back and hip.
Sorry, these would be great selling points, but sadly... it aint true. Standard figures are no longer popular less they have something of the above. Come toy industry... keep up with the games!
@Logician: He was really young, maybe he did not start taking steroids and eating ponies just yet.
thats easily the best generic space marine i've seen in years!
Pouches galore... Rob Liefeld would love it!
In other news, I suddenly feel like having a cool, refreshing coors light.
Hopefully the shotgun doesn't jam nearly as easily as the Lancer ; )
@Logician: Well, that's why he died. Duh.
But I don't even think this is Carmine. I'm pretty sure he's just a COG soldier. I'm assuming this is a character from Gears 2, so having Carmine wouldn't really make sense.
Not that it matters. What's the difference, after all?
@Dauragon C. Mikado: Good news though, he's back in GoW2
I want my Baird figure!!
Pretty cool...I would add it to the office desk...
Wow, what an absolutely terrible idea by NECA. I will be honest and say I am a Gears fanboy, an dI lvoe anything Gears. I have patiently been waiting for over 3 months now for my pre-ordered Gears figures to ship. FURTHER, I am a huge HUGE Carmine fan, and any Gears friend of mine can atest to that. The fact that I have no way to get one of these (there is no way I can make it across the country for Comic Con) except to overpay from someone who can make it is pretty crappy. It would be one thing if this was just a Marcus figure, but for those that know Gears, Carmine kind of has acult following and I can't believe they would release something like this and make it so limited. Mega garbo.
someone get me one of these...seriously...
Can't make it to SDCC and I'm one of those die hard Gears fans that feels the shaft from comic con exclusive figures a continent away. Yeah, I'm in Georgia...makes it ever so simple to get the California. ARRRRR...I'm goin crazy here...lol.
very nice, I cant wait to see this years street fighter statues.
I can't wait to see the price of those on ebay.
Seriously, we all know about a 100 of them will be on there.
I received a hard on when first I seen it.
Then I went soft when I realized I'm broke.
Wow, Mega Garbo. I am definitely a Gear's fanboy and even more a huge HUGE HUGE HUGE Carmine fan as any of my Gear's friends can atest. Nothing like feeling the shaft when you hear the figure for your favorite character is a limited run available in one exclusive location which ends up meaning I will probably never have the chance to own one. Good job Comic Con, NECA, and whatever other d-bags are responsible for shafting us Gears fans unable to attend some retarded comic book convention across the continent.
That figure is gonna get killed :'(
Nice Detail. Wish I had this kinda toy, um figure, when I was younger. Then again, I'd break it. Or burn bullet holes through it...
Hmm, after reading some the posts here, I think I may pick it up despite not even knowing who that is.
Quite skinny for a Gears character
Bah, wish NY Comic-Con had this instead of the ugly Raiden.
@Mpalm.:
That made my morning, but I liked Carmine. I don't know I prefer the faceless character of Carmine to the others in multiplayer, I don't know why.
This guy looks infinitely more interesting than the hulking meatwads that are the Gears regular characters.
hehehe he wears a boombox for armor. Nice going!
Love Gears, I think EPIC set the bar for 3rd person shooters, but I never really like the Unreal characters. ANY of them.
Complete the set by purchasing the Locust sniper that was in the background and off to the right.
Way too skinny for Gears.
@Mpalm.: "maybe he did not start taking steroids and eating ponies just yet.!
hah! awesome quote.
DO WANT.
@catapult37: But look at the feet, sure they look a bit like hooves, but even still they manage to surpass Liefelds ability to draw them
Have the other exclusive Comic-Con toys been announced? Someone link me if they have, please?
i want this is someone goes!
that soft, pink neck is screaming out to the aliens "attack me i'm exposed!!" figure should have a black turtleneck cover-up or sumthn, looks amateurish.
He survived the head shot! Check out the Gears 2 footage, Carmine is alive and well.
@Black_Ops_19: You can't be serious. A random limited figure available for only a few days at one particular place...and you're a big enough loser to make demands?
@kpugs: carmine is dead.
the faceless cog soldier is the red shirt from star trek.
Carmine was the only cool one, better than those other roid freaks. Plus who doesn't love a gas mask for no reason?
@peAr_nectAr: In my opinion,peAr,there will only ever be one cog soldier in the game, and that is Carmine. Every other cog soldier is just a wannabe, and of all the exclusive gears figurines,it had to be Carmine, god, time to ebay.
Everyone I know on Gears refers to this guy as the Power Ranger.
He has no neck cover?
I too was a fan of using Carmine's model when I played online. I'm a fan of the helmet, Power Ranger or not.
I liked the helmet look as well, though I have yet to play any online gears, thought I'd wait for gears 2 and see if they improved party system.
And that neck looks awfully exposed, I predict quick decapitation halfway through the first chapter. Carmine deaths are going to be to Gears what Kenny deaths are to South Park.
It's KillZone! I mean Carmine!
@Spallywag: "Way too girly?" Nothing in the damn game was girly enough, frankly. The whole thing was like a twisted parody of masculinity that didn't realize how much of a joke it was.
I read the article on The Escapist about it, and I thought he made a good point. He was basically saying that yeah, it's silly and juvenile, but sometimes silly and juvenile can be fun, so it's not an inherently bad thing. And I agree, but I think he was mistaken in using GoW as an example. The game is way too silly and juvenile. It's like, I can happily watch really dumb comedies, and laugh and enjoy myself, even though I know the movies are dumb. But I can't do that with crap like, I dunno, Meet the Spartans. Some movies can be too dumb to even laugh at, and some games can be too juvenile to even enjoy.
That said, what's up with this figure? His neck is smaller around than my chest cavity, he seems terribly out of place in the Gears universe. He does seem to have solid iron blocks for shoes which, I would imagine, makes it difficult to walk, since he's clearly wearing more or less normal pants, as opposed to some sort of robo-suit. And his gun is relatively small. Given his appearance, I assume he's not actually a soldier, and probably is employed in some non-combat division of the military. Perhaps he is a cook? Even muscle-bound, seven-foot-tall pro-wrestlers with guns have to eat (pure horse steroids).
Cliffy B confirmed that Carmine survived that headshot and it will be told how in the story!
I always loved how the armor in Gears looks like it has huge speakers on the front, so Marcus can jam to phat beats while chainsawing fools in half.
That figure looks really great, minus the freakishly tiny feet. But still, it beats the hell out of the lame-ass Stealth-Camo Raiden figure that was exclusive to the NY Comicon. I mean, stealth camo? It's like they didn't even try.
