You need an excuse?
The utilize joke made me laugh.
I actually went to school with the writer's brother... The Devil is based on a real guy.
And yes, he really does talk like that.
Those crazy dinosaurs...
Kotaku's cache pic is missing the alt text. With Dino Comics, that's half the joke!
I hope I'm missing the joke or something, I don't really find this funny.
Maybe my humor is broken. =/
Some of Ryan's best work.
@CZroe: That's why there's a link to the actual comic right there at the bottom!
@Luke Plunkett:
Yup, but the cache is meant to avoid flooding the page with hits, right?
Ah well.
And before anyone new says "Hey, all the panels share the same art!", let me just say: THAT'S THE POINT!
@Channing:
I'm looking at you. ;)
@Channing: It looks like someone needs to learn how to awesome. Also, possibly, how to sexy.
I've always been fascinated by T-Rex(s), it's like God/Evolution(NO ARGUING!) went "FUCK IT!", and just spun the "creation wheel" and out came this most peculiar creature. What I really want to know is why the little hands...maybe the answer lies HERE:

Whatchu talkin' 'bout! Dinosaur comics are the best.
Wait a minute... You guys must belong to The Devil!
@Fnor: Fuck verbs.
We don't need 'em.
@Fnor: hahahahahahha
I think you need to utilize Dinosaur Comics more on Kotaku.
Am I the only one to think that this is fail?
I stopped reading at "baloney."
@IntelSilver: this is fail? I no get!
@IntelSilver: Go back, and read all the archives to get the back-story on the characters. The comic will make a hell of a lot more sense, and be much funnier.
@Fnor: For all of you that don't get Fnor's statement:
[www.qwantz.com]
the last bit with "utilize" topped it off, and is so true
Goddamn I love Dinosaur Comics so much.
Can someone else please laugh at the dinosaur stomping on the house in frame 3? Because I think that might be the funniest part.
Not to be an asshole, but Beelzebub is not the Devil.
That's stupid. Why would the devil enjoy programming the all the murder simulator parts? In the entire bible, pacifistic bitch didn't even get round to killing one person (he left the genocide to his way-cool arch-nemesis). The devil wouldn't even like playing GTA, 'cause bloody violence makes him squirm.
@TheBrianIsAstonishing: Oh, I thought he...oh.
Yeaaah, I've never been a big fan of the dinosaur comics. They're just not that funny, to me.
This one was okay, though. :)
Also not a big fan. I don't know, I haven't read through the whole archives or anything, but my friend Jon made me read a few... They were "meh," I thought. Maybe I'll go and check out some others.
A friend of mine has a Professor Science t-shirt from Dinosaur Comics, it's sweet!
Ok, yeah...totally bookmarking this comic...and posting the sexy on my friend's page. She will love it.
@cheeses: Oy vey, don't read too much into it... The Devil (like God) is a character in Dinosaur Comics. Each is based off of, but is not the same as, the real/equally fictional versions that we're all familiar with... it's a webcomic...
I read Dinosaur Comics everyday and I think that it is awesome. The funniest webcomic on the internet. And yeah, if you don't think it's funny, try reading some of the archives. If you still don't think it's funny, well, I can't help you...
Oh, and Kazzahdrane, I'm seriously considering getting that shirt...
@IntelSilver: Nope, big phail. I thought maybe that was just a bad one. I went through the archive, none of them even made me chuckle. There sure are a lot of crappy web comics out there.
I'll stick with Cyanide & Happiness / Penny Arcade / VGCats.
If there's one thing I hate, it's people saying "utlise" instead of "use".
Too Many Words...
@w991: ...and too lame
To hell with everyone else, I thought it was great.
Dinosaur Comics is the best. But it's definitely not for those who don't like reading. The visuals are the same every time, so if you're looking for slapstick or something, look elsewhere.
@argh: Sticking with VGCats over Dinosaur Comics? Hahaha. Wow.
That may be the biggest insult that could ever be thrown at Dinosaur Comics.
@argh: I could say the very same thing about VGCats.
C&H and PA are alright with me though.
I get chills even reading the name VGCats. Every time the name is mentioned, some bright idea somewhere dies. Same goes for Duelin- nah, not gonna say it.
@Platypus Man: Sort of like how the Devil is a character in my brains?
@argh: VGCats? Your life, pal....
A lot of people would kill me for half my taste in webcomics.
I don't know why people have to fanboy over a particular webcomic, for criminy's sake. It's like people whining over Garfield and Calvin & Hobbes. Can't one enjoy them both, or ignore the one they don't like? You don't even have any investment in them, unlike the console wars.
The problem with Dinosaur Comics is that the humor is on a different level than most other comics. There is very little visual humor, and most often the punchlines don't really "punch".
The style isn't for everyone. Fortunately for me, I love it.
OH EXPLOITABLE!
TLDR
If you can't have good art in a webcomic, you try to have good writing instead, ala 8bit Theater.
@Belo: I hate to break it to you, but the writing in dino comics is unsurpassed.
Beelzebub isn't the devil, he's just another fallen angel. Common mistake.
I chuckled at the "utilize" part.
@Justo84: I think there are some groups that believe Beelzebub is Satan so maybe Luke belongs to that club. I never thought he was an angel though I always thought he was just the devil's buddy.
@Justo84:
Beelzebub |bēˈelzəˌbəb|
a name for the Devil.
ORIGIN from late Latin Beëlzebub, translating Hebrew ba‛al zĕ b ū b 'lord of flies,' the name of a Philistine god (2 Kings 1:2), and Greek Beelzeboul 'the Devil' (Matt. 12:24).
According to my Oxford English dictionary, it is a name for the devil, not a fallen angel.
I'm just passing information; I really don't know. But I tend to believe my dictionary.
@cheeses: Umm, sure? I was just saying that you can't compare this Devil with any other one. They're entirely different.
Haha, that was great. "Baloney! You don't even have a console that can run it!"
@underwhelm: Thats certainly a possibility my friend, but coming from a graphic design background whenever I see badly formatted text/layout I just lose all interest. :\
@belo:
So what you're saying is, because you lost all interest you just automatically assumed Dino Comics had bad writing? Way to be fair there.
Bad writing? Hardly. I found the writing quite cleverly arranged. Myself, I found the irregular syntax of "Probably I can borrow one" hilarious. An oddly structured sentence can be a beautiful thing.
Then again, I get my jollies off of interesting writing, so take this as my unique perspective.
