Xbox Live Arcade weekly updates are back on schedule, after Niko Bellic and his gang hijacked all Live traffic last week. This Wednesday, it's Wits & Wagers, a trivia party game for up to six players that features Xbox Live Vision camera support for maximum avatar creepiness. The official site states that Wits & Wagers "includes 700 unique and fun questions for up to 25 hours of exciting play." That's important to note. At 25 hours, you absolutely must stop expecting exciting play. You've been warned.

25 Hours you say... hmmm... I can see it now. 80's pack DLC. WW2 Trivia DLC, Easter DLC... you catch my drift here. DLC! DLC! DLC! ...I'm sure I'm just over reacting here but the days of full games are over brothers! Quick... to the hills!
Lame as it may be, I've really been looking forward to this... something else to do with the Scene It big button controllers.
guna skip this one for sure.
After playing the board game, I don't think the online version will be all that appealing.
Just think about how much fun will it be to play online with a little kid that decides to have a computer open to research the answers.
I wish they'd just release DLC for Scene-It instead.
... I totally read something different that Wagers when I was skimming headlines.
@texicali74: That's what I'm waiting for too. Hell they have enough Scene-It games out there to get questions from.
I do plan on getting this game since i do love game show type games. This will be a good party game for when I have BBQs.
Well, I loves me some trivia. I'll definitely check out the demo.
It's about time someone put a trivia game on XBLA. I've been pushing for that on the official Xbox boards since '05. It's the perfect idea for people who want to make money. Make a game, sell game then sell question packs. Like Rock Band or Guitar Hero for brains instead of fingers and with text instead of tunes. Actually, when I put it that way ...
@okenny :):
It's a 10 dollar game! 25 hours for 10 bucks is a pretty good deal imho. i hope they release some dlc, that way you can pick up the packs you want instead of all the questions.
i'm looking forward to at least trying this out.
Having DLC does not mean you have to buy the DLC. If you think 25 hours of gameplay is worth $10, the fact that they may or may not add DLC later should make no impact on your purchase of the game.
@texicali74:
AMAN! my wife and i have memorized just about everything in scene it... WTH is the DLC?
Wow this just doesn't even look fun, unlike Twisted: The Game Show (3do) & South Park: Chef's Luv Shack (dc) ...
wits and wagers is a fantastic trivia game. i played the table top one a while ago and had a blast. hopefully this will let multiple players in the same room play with each other.
Ok but.. Where's You Don't Know Jack? I mean come on. That would be a fantastic game on XBLA and I would buy it in a flash.
Those numbers seem a bit suspect. 700 questions over 25 hours means 2 minutes per question. Do they expect idiots to play this game? There isn't even some kind of time consuming gimmick.
I fear the people that look up answers on google as well. Or you play against someone who has gone through all 700 questions and knows the answers to them. Local play could be more fun.
That story about Ben Franklin is BS, by the way.
Using my wits, I wager this game may be kinda fun with drunken friends...
HA HA....
HA!
like Miis but ugly and real.
also, aren't xbox360 gamers supposed to hate these kind of casual games? why is everyone saying they are going to get it?
@VakeroRokero:
WHAT?
We love casual game! It help us entertain un-gamingly friend people and chicks who are hot as well as easy.
Unga-Dunga...
@hollowfreak: Chef's Luv Shack is a great game and the first real party game I ever actually pulled out at a party.
Robert Smith questions equal comedy gold.
The board game is a whole lotta fun, especially with big groups. If they can translate that on the screen, it'll be well worth $10. I'm interested to see how the multiplayer vs. multiplayer online works (team in one home against a team in another home). It sounds like it actually might add an interesting element to the game.
Those who don't know Wits & Wagers the board game should check it out.
you don't know jack?
volumes 1 2 3 4 5, the ride, lost gold, sports, movies, +all the dis or dat online all for $10?
