I can't friggin wait for this game to come out. Seriously. Tristan and I have actually been watching through the trilogy to prepare for the game, not the movie. LEGO Star Wars is one of the only games that the two of us played through all the way (three times, including once on the DS). I sure hope they don't tinker with the formula... and they add more multiplayer options.

I just watched the first one last night; it was the first time I'd seen any of them
Looks good, and it looks like it's 60fps, which is fantastic, it's really damned smooth.
So many parts of that video make me squeal like no man should.
I'm not ashamed to say this is my most anticipated game since Half-Life 2.
LEGO Mola Ram was the best part of that trailer.
I really hope we'll see a LEGO heart-rip.
yeah my son and I also played through together on LEGO Star Wars so LEGO Indy is an anticipated title in our house
I love the lego games, and watching this excites me greatly.
but at the same time, seeing all those amazing sets (Mola Ram's temple) just makes me want a real trilogy game as well, not just Legos. please don't kill me...
game looks amazing
cant wait for "kingdom of the crystal skull"
whens that come out? sometime in may i hope
Anyone remember Legoland and Lego Island?
Those were hardcore. Legoland was basically a Roller Coaster Tycoon clone, but it was awesome because you were guided by a LEGO character with a British accent.
LEGO Island was basically Grand Theft LEGO. It was awesome. I can't find the disc though. :(
I am determined to beat my nephew to the store to get this.
I saw this, went to the grocery store, saw Lego gummies, and knew it was destiny. Delicious.
eve thought the LEGO formula is more based on the multi-player aspect as in the LEGO Star Wars, this one seems to me a little bit more easy going with letting you enjoy more of the game the single player way as apposed to making your friends be R2-D2. all thought i don't doubt multi-player will be the main key point as it has been in the LEGO games franchise...oh and don't forget LEGO BATMAN...thats the one im most anxious for.
@OneManFreakShow:
i loved lego island when i was young, always fun just to play it, even though it was a little short for me
legoland, well, i wasn't good at building stuff, so i failed at that game
1:04 :P....although im not a indiana jones fan and never seen the movies i may get this-..
Damn this looks great! I can only hope it's as enjoyable as the Lego Star Wars (Complete Saga) was. My fiancee and I have had a blast playing it when we can.
@Kazzahdrane:
I'm with ya on that one...I CANNOT wait to pick this up.
I'm on the fence about this and the Batman game. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Lego Star Wars:TCS (especially playing it through with my 6 year old). But neither of these lego properties have depth of recognizable characters, vehicles, and locations that Star Wars had to draw on.
I do hope they pull it off of course but they've got one hell of a bar to measure up to - one they created themselves.
after Lego Star Wars, this and Lego Batman are already definite buys for me.
@OneManFreakShow: Lego Island ran like shit, but yeah, when I was little it was pretty awesome. Can you believe that game had a plot??? Never payed attention to it when I was younger.
Looks fun to me...Will have to get this!
@the-hypnotoad: Batman doesn't have recognizable characters?
Wow, after 70 years of history I would think people would recognize the Joker, Batmobile, and Gotham.
Especially after several movies, live action show, a few cartoons, various comics, and all those wonderful toys (according to the Joker anyroad).
I'm seriously jonesing for this game, but honestly it'll probably get pushed to the back burner the instant LEGO Batman comes out. Hopefully I'll have it 100% complete by then...
@frostcircus:
I just finished watching all 40 hours of Indiana Jones adventures in preparation for the release of Indy IV (should have time to watch the remaining 15 hours of bonus features by then as well).
@the-hypnotoad:
Geek cred revoked.
This looks much more interesting than the Batman iteration.
Hah, this is pretty cool. I really dig the face Indy pulls when being lambasted by Lego Connery...
ah, looks like a great CASUAL game.
:3
On another note, I just re-installed Legoland. It's still awesome, and I looked up on the internet where that STUPID MISSING MONEY on that one level is. So now I can beat it. That level puzzled me for years and years.
Kinda funny, all the "hard core" gamers getting excited about this. This game looks amazing, I know my brother and I are going to have a blast playing through it, he still needs to see the movies though.
Actually looks more ambitious and varied than Lego Star Wars (mine cart sections etc.. should be a bit of a different challenge), while still keeping the simple gameplay that made it more accessiable. Really nice gameplay touches - love the use of the whip to reel people in towards you! Hopefully will be as fun as it looks.
And all these Lego Island references are bringing back memories. Remember my brother playing that, in between batches of me playing Virtual Springfield, for hours when we were youngsters.
This looks, to me anyway, more interesting than LEGO Batman :O
Will hopefully be grabbing this one at release.
I HATE rats but I already love this game.
Yay!! This'n's a must-play. I love how something designed for kids is so much fun for every gamer out there.

I'm really sorry, but as soon as I saw this video, I couldn't resist making this pic. :)
@Kenofthedead: No of course Batman has recognizable characters, but you start to run out after about 10-15 (Bats, Alfred, Robin, Catwoman, Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Harly, Mr Freeze, Scarecrow, Commissioner Gordon, Poison Ivy, Two-face, maaaybe Batgirl and Nightwing if you want to stretch it.)
But maybe I'm thinking about it wrong; maybe instead of collecting characters you'll collect utility belt items, bat vehicles and stuff to fill up the batcave (remember that giant penny, stuff like that). Plus it's not like you ever use 75% of the guys you unlock in TCS anyway.
Hell, who am I kidding, Travelers Tales has always delivered and I'm sure these games will be no exception.
@fecalchaos:
No way. LEGO Batman will allow you to play the villain's side of the mission, not just using the badguys to stop other badguys.
@the-hypnotoad:
Batman (multiple costumes), Gordon, Prof. Strange, Robin (multiple costumes), Joker, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, Alfred, Riddler, Mad Hatter, Firefly, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Poison Ivy, Batgirl, Manbat, Ra's al Ghul, Bullock, Fox, Croc, Nightwing, Black Mask, Ventriloquist/Scarface, Harley Quinn, Bane, Phantasm/Reaper, Hush...and that's 30 right there without even having to borrow related heroes like Huntress and the Creeper, or defunct characters like Azrael. And we already know that both Batman and Robin will be getting several costumes each. Besides, look at the "variety" of Star Wars characters in the previous games that's left over once you start weaning out all of the costume/trooper variations. How many different versions of Luke did they include? How many different paint jobs on the same stock Clonetrooper? None of those actually produce different gameplay, but they were thrown in there for the sake of completion. If they hadn't, people would bitch about how they left out so-and-so's favorite Clonetrooper, or how it doesn't look right for Luke to be fighting the Rancor in his old farmboy togs.
Now, I have no doubt that roughly half of the Batman villains I listed will never be included because they're not considered familiar enough, but many of the Star Wars characters that made it into the game weren't household names either. The only difference is that all the LEGO Batman villains are supposed to have unique abilities that need to be coded individually (where all the Clonetroopers are just skin-swaps on the same core character mechanic), and you'll probably be facing off against only one or two major villains in each mission.
That is hot to death.
this looks fun, i liked the star wars complete saga one they came it with for ps3.
Gameplay looks almost identical to Lego Star Wars. That game was amusing but gameplay was pretty boring.
Did I just see blood around :20 into the trailer?
Far too much Temple of Doom in that trailer. Other than that, the theme music got me pumped, I love it.
*shudders* That abomination was on TV yesterday..
With exactly 1:00 to go, Indiana Jones seems to use his whip on some woman in order to make out with her. That's...a little creepy.
This game looks pretty sweet. I don't remember being this excited about two games (this and LEGO Batman) that didn't use voices in a long time.
now this just looks awesome, this is a must get and watching that video made me remember all the movies and the game is spot on.
guess i'll have to break out the indiana jones dvd box set tonight. now if only we could get the trilogy on blu-ray and crystal skull on bd when it releases.
I have to admit that Ive never been much of a LEGO games fan, but this one sure looks fun. :)
@sxp151, the happy-headed nose:
That's...taken directly from one of the movies. At the end of Temple of Doom, Willie's still whinging about how she doesn't want to go with Indy, and he snares her with his whip, hauls her toward him, and plants one on her lips. She finally shuts up.
I'm assuming this is another built-in joke like how if you have Lando "shoot" at Leia from close range, he instead leans her back and gives her a lesson in Correllian Tonsil Hockey. Or how pushing the Force button for Slave Leia makes her start bellydancing, and doing the same for the Gamorrean Guard makes him start playing air guitar with his axe.
who was the carrying the horse into the sunset at the end of the trailer?
I really didn't care for Lego Star Wars, but the vastly superior Indiana Jones license will definately get me to give the Lego games another shot.
ELSA GIVE ME YOUR HAND!
Still waiting for Lego Lord of the Rings.
Does anyone have a link to a version of this trailer that can be watched in full-screen mode? I'm really itching to see if I can figure out how those wooden runabouts were designed so I can shamelessly rip them off. Oh, and curses upon whoever might end up deciding _not_ to release the flying wing as a set, especially now that we've seen what one could look like for real.
@mellowsmoothe:
Based on how the movie ended, I'd have guessed Marcus "Field-Expert" Brody, but I just watched it again for that specific scene and it's clearly Dr. Jones Sr. (you can see the dark-bley pith helmet they used for his hat in the Motorcycle Chase set). Brody is, however, riding backwards, so I feel somewhat vindicated in my first guess.
@Purple Dave: I see, thanks. I never liked the Indiana Jones movies much, and hardly remember anything about them (except Temple of Doom, and I guess even that I don't remember so well).
But I loved the Lego Star Wars gameplay, and I'm sure even without liking the license, I'll enjoy this game.
