It's just a paint variation of the R-Type Gashapon from those Shooting Game Historika sets. The paint job is cool, though it's no "model" per-se.

This game is pre-ordered faster than you can say Jack Robinson. Or Thompson!

Awesome. Too bad I'll have to pass on it. Not because I don't happen to own a PSP (because I don't) but because R-Type remains the hardest fucking game I've ever had the displeasure of getting my hands on!

I don't know the scale but I can tell you the ship is about an inch long.

Sparx, R-Type's not that hard, Gradius is hard. Dodonpachi Daijou is hard, R-Type, yea it's hard but being the grand daddy of shmups, it's easier than its spunkier grand kids

That is so fucking sexy, and the game demo is pretty sweet as well.
Unfortuantely I blew my games budget buying both the PS3 and 360 versions of GTA.

Hey did anyone get R-types off of the Playstation store this week btw?
I have to say... It's soooooo awesome having perfect acrade ports of both r-type 1 and r-type 2 on my psp.
It's great on ps3 but playing on the psp it's even better.

@sandwiches: It's pretty ace, Sandwiches. It's one of the coolest strategy games on a handheld. The handheld platforms are the real kings of the SRPG/Strategic games of late!

Both worthy in game and in little desk trinket.

Woah! Those are awesome! I don't have a PSP, so I won't be playing R-Type Command, but the Super R-Type fan in me says "GO FOR IT!".

After playing the demo I felt I could kind of go either way on this game, but that is some nice pre-order goodness...

A Day after the game's release I bought the PSP from Best Buy.

I want this color too, but $40? If the game was $20 like Patapon, I'd snag it up right now.

@Salen: Well, you'd have the best of both worlds, having a DS and PSP. They're wonderfully different and offer a great library each.

I'll still play the game and enjoy it, but if only Atlus had made it $20, $25 max, I would purchase it.

First time I wish I had a PSP. I always loved R-type.
