Remember the guy in the self-made Master Chief armor at the New York launch of Halo 3? Seems like we weren't the only ones to take notice of his shiny metal carapace. The folks at College Humor, creators of Street Fighter: The Early Years, got in touch with Jim, who comments on Kotaku as NYC Armor Guy, about appearing in a short for the site, and Jim passed along some pictures of the set where the action takes place. The movie, which may or may not be called Halo Detective, should be showing up on the humor site in the coming weeks. For now, check out our little gallery taken from Jim's site, or visit the Flickr gallery below for more shots of Master Chief in action.

Do babies fight each other in Street Fighter: The Early Years?
Is it me or does it look like Master Chief lost a couple of notches under the belt? That and it looks like he bought his armor from the big kids section of Party Fair.
Anyway, if it's produced by College Humor, then I'm in. It's sure to be funny.
@Yuki: I like to imagine that rabbis would fight mariachis in some epic deathmatch only loosely related to Street Fighter.
Cool! Looking forward to it.
Nice! Now they better include some zombies or they are missing out on a big demographic.
So that's what they're doing. Cool!
@AlcoholicZombie: Not zombies, they should include the guy that plays Guile, as Guile! In fact, they need to include Guile in every skit they do, even Halo. I don't care if it has no relevance to the subject at all. He never gets old.
Awesome. Can I get one of those in a women's size medium?
I would pay 1000$ for one of those suits with kevlar in the panels.
@Trowble (XBL/PSN): SONIC FUCKIN BOOM!
We have confused concepts of early and late, I see...
But his suit is a poor recreation.
it will probably piss him off if the armor was damaged or scratched during filming...
Wow all he did was get some fake me out armor and then wear some black jumpsuit bull underneath, almost fooled me.
Still semi-cool.
And he stands funny in all his poses?
POSER
/I'm done.
CH actually looks pretty professional now--I guess all that ad revenue didn't just go towards ice cream and jello.
Can't wait to see it after the special effects are all done. Those guys are really professional - It was a really fun time too.
