Cute. Currently on sale at Zazzle, and taking the 80's keyboard tie as inspiration, this Guitar Hero-themed neck tie is subtle enough that the bolder office workers amongst you may actually be able to pull it off. So long as you explain to your co-workers that horizontal patterns are all the rage in Milan this year. And don't explain that you set a new Tie Hero high score this morning when you totally nailed a double windsor in less than 30 seconds.

BEAUTIFUL!
"And don't explain that you set a new Tie Hero high score this morning when you totally nailed a double windsor in less than 30 seconds."
Four years in a religious private school taught me to do that one handed.
God my life is miserable.
I'd get that.
I think it looks tacky because of the bright colors on black.
I'm not sure this is the kind of message you would want to send to people who expect to see you wearing formal dress.
@Narb: Who said you had to wear it with something formal.
@Narb: That's right, let's keep it uptight.
But seriously, this is a super cool design. I wish it was a little cheaper though...
it farts.
PLAY FREEBIRD!
Yeah, $30 is a bit much for that. Cool concept, though.
Ugly. As. Hell.
Seriously, I've yet to find any tasteful video game themed attire.
Huh, this is well done. It doesn't scream "Game", so could be worn to work, and if your boss doesn't like fun ties, the bars are set low enough that if you button up your jacket they won't be seen.
@ThisCharmingMan: Where's the ugly? I assume you're not a big GH/Rock Band fan.
Hehehe... it would be quite fun to wear this to a job interview, and have the interviewer understand what it is supposed to be. Nothing like some humor to make an interview go easier.
That is my game.
Give that back you are a tie.
It doesn't even fit.
@eastx:
even if it wasn't video-game related, it's not ugly at all. five coloured rectangles on a black tie? yay for simple patterns.
@willyolio: Really, I think it's pretty bad myself. But I guess I'm just not a multi-color kind of guy.
Countdown until someone complains about their precious supersecret videogame culture slipping away into the mainstream spotlight.
Good idea, shitty execution. Too ornate and not ornate enough, simultaneously.
They should include the guitar controller built in the tie, but that would be crazy.
@Eville1:
Half Windsor is much faster. If you can get away with a crew necked sweater instead of a jacket, a balled up piece of paper works too as a good fauxknot.
I wouldn't mind having that tie.
Now someone just needs to add a couple of touch switches and rf module and you could play RB/GH at work.
@1080Peter: Meh, that's old news. I mean, that already happened with Guitar Hero the game. Not much changed when they made it into a tie.
It's absolutely beautiful. What a sight to behold. If I had a boyfriend I would so get that for him...damnit I made myself sad.
@omnibot2000XL:
i still prefer the full windsor. you just don't get the knot as controlled and triangular with other knots.
This would look infinitely better on a skinny tie.
That tie is useless unless worn horizontally somehow.
The tie has five buttons.
The first three are so that anyone can feel classy.
The fourth is so people will look and feel classy.
The fifth is a pain in the ass to tie, requiring a near-inhuman level of dexterity to button, due to its size of 10 nanometers. However, for those few tie gods that can button it, they will not only look and feel classy, but they'll have sex with your wife/girlfriend and your best friend's wife/gilfriend tonight if you're male, or if you're female, you and your best friend.
I invented the piano key neck tie! I invented it! What have you done, Derek? Nothing! YOU'VE GOT NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!!
Nice! Were I can buy one.
So what are you supposed to strum?
I'm surprised it's not a clip-on. Damn them for not giving me the right to make a "It's not like wearing a REAL tie! People should just learn to tie a real Windsor knot" joke!
@eastx: I like Guitar Hero as much as the next guy...but some things should just not be turned into hideous clothing.
