On PS3, you can upload your created levels to the developers through the game's interface. Once uploaded, your creation will be considered by the developers for a future downloadable content release.User created levels from Japan and Asia will be available from day one, with US players' creations folded into the mix at a later date. Check out the new video up top for a glimpse at how the game will change the way you look at everything.
Feeling Puzzled? echochrome Demo Coming to PSN [Official PlayStation Blog]

This game needs some Korn music
If that was the music for the game, then it may be worth buying for that alone. Will it have the same price as regular PSP games, or something more like Patapon?
We need an Echochrome room in HOME with game-like physics and stuff.
Awesome. any idea how much the full version will cost?
This game is really one of the most creative games I've seen. I want to buy a PSP just for this. Alas I have no PS3 to download it...:(
i here by dub this game.
"MINDGAMEZ"
brilliant-simply brilliant...music was a huge bonus for me..
I played the Japanese psp demo and it was pretty interesting. I can imagine it getting extremely difficult, like some of those huge levels shown in the video. It seems sort of stupid to be able to make custom levels in a puzzle game. But gamers always do crazy stuff when they have a tool like that so maybe it will be cool.
@monkeytail41:
According to IGN both versions will be value priced. [psp.ign.com]
@monkeytail41: That is the music for the game, but I personally found the gameplay of the demo underwhelming.
But, then again, I'm not a puzzle person.
It's nice to tap the brain once in a while!
I remember hearing that the PsP version would have more built-in levels than the Ps3 version. Does that still apply?
All DLC will be free too.I bet people will like that too.
You can also email your created levels or put them on a pro duo.Pretty interesting.
this game must have been extremely fun to make.
without killing yourself.
@OldManGaming:
9.99 for both versions
@munchausen:
Sorry,I think my post ate it..
9.99 for the PS3 and psp versions.The psp puzzles are smaller.
@mast3r_blast3r: That would be awesome. If they made it so developers could mess with physics and things like that in their Home rooms and make the rooms act similar to the way the game environment works. I would love to be able to walk into a R&C room and be able to shoot a gelatonator to be able to bounce around the room, or walk into the Echochrome room to see people walking on walls and spinning shit around, or walk into the Uncharted room and see an obstacle course with vines you have to climb and logs to cross and such. Then, maybe they could even add in the weapons of those games and things like that so while in the lobby you could play a mock version of the game to hone in on your shooting skills and such. It would be a cool way to actually have some multiplayer aspects to the games that don't have them, even if the rooms were watered down versions of what the game is.
@Tohdman6:
yeah i also played the japanese demo and i thought the game was outstanding, it really made my brian reconfigure what i perceived
Wow, 9.99 each? That's really impressive.
@kirk4ever: I agree, I am not a real big Sony fan but damn that looks nice, and the music just made it that much better.
I'm definitely contemplating purchasing this game. I'm a puzzle whore and that demo whet my appetite.
I have the Asian version (the one in English). Get's pretty tough after a while, but it was fun. I might pick the American one at this price though, or at least the PS3 version, since playing on a big screen might be nice.
@LittleBigPlaneteer:
Yes,it's a good value.
Music reminded me of the music from the PC game Arcanum (if anyone remembers that). Parts were also similar to the Fawlty Towers theme song ;)
Also, this marks the first time I've actually been jealous of the psp/ps3-owning types. Very compelling.
I read on the blog comments that you can share user made levels with friends via PSn mail,email,memory stick or on PSP Ad-Hoc wireless network. Both versions are separate so no level sharing PS3 to PSP or vice versa. All user made content packs will be free.
I'm not much of a puzzle person but I might buy this anyway. Its such a simple concept that its brilliant. Whats also amazing is that someone whos unfamiliar with this could see it under your game section and be intrigued. It could make for a great conversations tarter.
Wow, this looks amazingly simple, yet amazing. Period. I would honestly get a psp just to try this out. And I sense free DLC?
Except for the PA penis joke this is the first time ive heard of this. Looks amazing!
@enewtabie: thank you sir.
Played the Japanese demo on my PS3 a while ago, it is indeed an awesome game. I'll definitely be buying it when it comes here in North America.
The Japanese demo was excellent, but to be honest I thought it could be a bit touchy at times with the level of precision things have to line up with. I think people should be allowed to experiment more with the demo levels than is possible currently. That being said, I think it could be on par with a game like Everyday Shooter in my opinion.
This game will make my head explode.
this game screams portable! will be getting it for both platforms.... at 20 bucks for both, you can't go wrong.
The Japanese PSP demo was good. I'm going to go against the majority and say the music gets on my nerves.
Thats cool that it comes with an editor that makes it more appealing to me.
@enewtabie: Hm, I just saw this on the Playstation Blog:
Very nice. I tried the Japanese PS3 demo a while back and enjoyed it quite a bit. So is it safe to assume that both the PS3 and PSP versions of the game will be $10 each?

Hi Gorvi. It'll be $9.99 for both PS3 and PSP versions.
So it may be even better value than we thought!
Like some of you I have played thru both the Japanese PS3 and PSP demos a few times. Yes, that is the music for the game. It is a harder game that it seems. It feels a lil awkward at first untill you get a feel for the level design. I just don't see why the PS3 version wasn't just remote play enabled instead wanting us to buy a home version and one for the road. But I guess not everyone is willing to find a hot spot for that feature. I also see a trend of publishers wanting gamers to do all the creating on certian games and get little to know credit. If they do offer the DLC of user content it better be FREE and if the DLC costs the users BETTER get a piece of da action.
God, I really can't wait to play this.
never though i would want a psp as much as i am now
"future downloadable content release" ??
for a puzzle game? loved the demo, but damn, what a buzz kill.
@Datheron:
His wording is a little off.He meant to say each.It won't be 9.99 for both.That would be nice,eh?
That was amazing.
@CancerMan:
Why? it'll be free.
You have this(I'm gonna say May 8th?)
then Wipeout HD(not my favorite) a few weeks later.
I'm still hoping to see Patapon(already have it) on PSN.It's done by the same guys that did Echo and it would be a good seller for the non psp owners.
I got the JPN PSN store demo a while back and loved it. Though my controller is busted, it made it a tad hard to play but it's an awesome game.
So...what do you shoot in this game? Those environments are fully destructible, right? When you accidentally fall through a hole, where are the multiple cutscenes graphically depicting your death? Is there online play, so over the classical music I'll be able to enjoy the sound of some ritalin-addicted 13 year-old calling me a "queerbait" as my avatar ascends a staircase?
As someone who likes video games but is tired of shooting enemies in the face, echochrome makes me really happy.
I think the greatest thing about this game is the combination of music with the overall atmosphere.
For those that have played the demo you know how at the end the music keeps playing the simple but uplifting strands as the end advises you of one thing: Find the way.
It's like M.C. Escher: The Game.
Kickass.
I thought that this one was already released...
Anyways, interesting concept.
Hope it doesn't get boring over time...
@Bokusatsu_Tenshi: Even if it does, at $10 it doesn't have to be fun for long to make it worth it.
okay this will be absolute...pure thinking ..... just by watching the video my brain was like *fart* ahahah looks really cool though
the music in this trailer was a lot better than i remember it being in the previous ones, makes me kind of wish i had a ps3!
