Here it is, Korn's original song inspired by Ubisoft's upcoming shooter Haze. The song, which has the same name as the game, is available for purchase on online music sites or you can catch it on the enhanced CD version of the Korn untitled album which hit Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand on April 21.

Wow, so it's true.
You know, gaming for me is like a religion, and Haze is the shit!!!
KoRn is still around?
although to be fair I think Korn was still cool back when Haze was originally supposed to come out.
@jaws3people0: Nice one.
ugh this really kills any bit of excitement i had left for this game
"The song, which has the same name as the song"
Really?
They did no live up to their promise of really rocking it.
to bad the song sucks, as does the band.
Has Korn really been reduced to debuting songs in video games now? That makes them the next Motley Crue...
This song is pretty cool.
o.O
i'm a fan of Korn and I gotta say this song is not good at all. It's disappointing really.
@electroshockwave: Oh really, the song is named after the song whose name is the same name as the song :P
Funny, KoRn had one good record, 2 OK records and a bunch of shit afterwards... yet they still manage to get themselves noticed. This song is somewhat decent, but far from good.
"enhanced CD version"
What in the bloody hell is an "enhanced CD", damn need to pay more attention to music when did these "enhaced CD('s)" become availiable whats the difference between "enhanced" and non "enhanced" CD's?
I normally don't listen to Korn, but this song kind of has an appeal - not the lyrics, but the music. I like the refrain as well.
Eh, it's allright.
@NeoNess:
That's what I was thinking.
@stryker1800:
Agreed.
@GUNDAM-RX-78-2: i always thought emhanced CD's were those mixed data cd's
"insert the music cd to unlock special Haze narcotic ingame!"
@Candlejack: Yeah, but that twittery bullshit noise that they attempt to call a solo, or even a bridge, fails the whole song and makes me wish they hadn't made it.
It's just sad really.
UGH, that bass ALWAYS sounds like complete crap. If you're going to tune it down, at least raise the freaking bridge up a little.
@GUNDAM-RX-78-2: Using the word "enhanced" tries to encourage people from not just simply downloading the song for free. Or I guess the CD version has better EQ? Maybe there's an extra percussion piece like the cowbell.
I think this summarizes every stereotype about the average 'kewld3wd' gamer - spastic 14 year old listening to butt-rock and fetishizing their over-the-top weaponry and explosions. If only there was some type of 'fuel' that existed that they could market to people that played games. Some sort of 'gamefuel' if you will. Then they'd have everything.
And yeah, Korn hasn't been cool since what, 1998?
Pay attention folks - this is what the douchbags that work in PR think about the video game playing audience.
@CitizenInsane27:
Off topic, I just wanted to say that your avatar is nothing short of awesome!!!
eh, Breaking Benjamin for Halo 2 is where it's at.
Or "HEADSHOT!" by Mychildren, Mybride. No one will know this track tho.
what, no Guitar Hero/Rock Band download? Korn, you haven't even sold out correctly!
I could tell Brian fought hard to hold back the sarcastic quips. :-P
@CitizenInsane27: Well, I'm by no means an expert. I just listen to it for a bit and decide whether I like it or not :P
Don't get me wrong, I loved Korn. I was in high school when they got big, and I still have nostalgic memories of me and my buddies driving up north for a canoing weekend while blasting "Adidas" and "Follow the Leader" out of the extremely cheap stereo system installed in my 1982 Buick LeSabre station wagon.
But seeing them debut songs for a video game? Just seems... Weird. Sold out, I guess.
Tis the death of my adolescence, I guess.
/old at 27 years...
@the-hypnotoad: If you read the comments here sometimes you might think the PR people do have their audience nailed down perfectly.
He still has that stupid mic stand? At least it's not another shitty Pink Floyd or Radiohead cover.
@jaws3people0: Excellent zing!
@dead_red_eyes: But then there wouldn't be an annoying low rumbling throughout the entire song.
@GUNDAM-RX-78-2:
Enhanced CDs have been around for over 10 years. You insert the disc into your computer and extra files pop up (like a music video or mp3).
Korn sucks.
Wow. I can't wait to not buy this song.
That' the laziest korn solo ever.
@PapaBear434: And me thinking KoRn sold out the moment they decided MTV audience numbers were more important to them (Life Is Peachy and Follow The Leader)
God this is as bad as that Assassins Creed song. Please, devs, stop trying to promote your game with a special song. your game is useually better known than the band that does the song anyway.
And a follow up... This song is awful. Simply, completely awful.
Still, my daughter is watching an old Scooby Doo right now, so it's either washed up version of Korn via my headphones or Davey Jones "What My Baby Means to Me" while Shaggy and Scooby get chased by the Ghost of Hyde.
I'm utterly amazed that Brian managed to post this without a snarky comment.
It almost reads like "news".
i mean at least Megadeth doesnt (well didnt, theyre okay now) suck [in regards to Gears of War]
I've said this before and I'll say it again: hope haze turns out to be a good game and sells well...
@StupidityTries:
Imagine if Luke got a hold of this one! :P
The vocals just seem totally off compared to the instruments.. dunno if it's just me
@zoesch:
See, I still liked that stuff. I enjoyed it quite a bit, actually.
Hell, I even liked Issues, the album where most people say they sold out.
After that, they lost Head, and their music just kind of petered out.
@Erwin:
That stand... is an eyesore, yes, valuable, even more so... It's one of two made by HR Giger before he destroyed the mold for it (some may say rightfully so if you're not a fan of Giger's work). One belongs to Davis, the other is in Giger's Art Museum. It's not one of a kind, no, but one of two (and only two) sculptures by a pretty famous artist.
It's worth a lot of something to someone out there, I'm sure.
Back on topic...
File this whole thing under "Wow, really?" cross-promotions. We can put this next to the Yaris Xbox 360 game.
I'm sure this video will be available on the PS store Thursday right along with all the other stupid Haze videos that show little-to-nothing about the game other than bad actors in live-action promos.
Man, that song really does suck
@hamandcheeseUK:
That's just how Korn has always been. They strove to make off-pitch sounds actually work.
@Cchrist:
That song ("Lonely Souls" by Unkle) wasn't created specifically for the game. It just happened to work.
@PapaBear434:
There are a couple of tracks on Issues that I like better than their previous stuff. I couldn't name a song/album after Issues, though (well, twisted transistor just because the video was pretty funny with Lil Jon as Jon Davis).
Anyway, back to this...
I think that when you contribute a song to a soundtrack, it should be illegal to use the name of the project as the title of the song, or include the title of the project in the song at all. Doing so results in an accute case of what I call the "Rob Zombie Complex" (see: Daredevil as a good example of this).
wow they could have done alot better then that, since head left korn has gone to the shit bag .. should have got cold to do it, they did a kick ass job on the "Psi-Ops" game song.
+ Watch video
@PapaBear434:
Yes, sir...
People don't like "Lonely Soul" by the way? I guess I missed that. I liked it alright. I wouldn't group it with this, by any means.
Hmmm... I must be confused. I thought it was the case that you had to be a truly wretched churl, a guttersnipe, with no taste in music, and fewer braincells than a yokel teeth to enjoy music of this sort - you know, music that isn't music, nominal music that is in fact just screaming given the label of "music" with a discordant incoherent muffled din in the background that sounds like an angry cat wrapped in a heavy wet blanket.
Silly me.
/Oh, can these "musicians", these screaming, talentless, brainless, philistine losers die now? In a fire?
Man, that was awesome...
Oh, and it could have been worse... could have been that godawful outro rap song from Call of Duty 4... you know, the one that completely ruined the sense of emotional gravity that the rest of the game portrayed?
That and Arcade Mode really detracted from what I thought was a pretty conscious game.
meh. song 'inspired' by the game?, too corperate for me
