Look, I'm very sorry about not having readied a What Are You Playing This Weekend? post this past Friday. Thank the Lord for Superman and Owen Good, since the latter of the two polled you on your shameful gaming experiences. I do have a good excuse though, as I was locked in a room with my boss, frantically attempting to defeat the colossus that is Grand Theft Auto IV over the course of five days. Even after a thumb-crushing GTA IV marathon, I still found the time to play a little Team Fortress 2, something that didn't put too much strain on my wonderfully opposable digit.
Yes, it really does hurt. Sad, really. Once the pain subsides, I can revisit GTA Vice City (which I never finished) and play some Lost Planet: Colonies. For now, let's have it. What did you play this weekend?

Comments
i played ssbb this past weekend. i cant get enough of that game.
I started a new game in oblivion!! just doing anything to pass the time to gta4..... ... i want gta4 bad...
You lucky bastard and your game previews.
I played jack squat, finals and tests coming soon. =(
I got homebrew working on my Wii and tried to beat Earthworm Jim but couldn't do it without cheating. That game is to punishing for me.
The game of beer and burgers.
It was a tailgating weekend here at PSU!
Rock Band, Crackdown, COD4, Blue Dragon, Rez HD.
Resident Evil 4: Wii. Oh, RE4, I wish I knew how to quit you.
PMOG and Assassins creed.
some SUIKODEN V on the ps2, some Professor Layton on the DS and a little Hot Shots Golf: OOB on the ps3
I got my first taste of Team Fortress 2 and realized just how badly I need a good mouse.
Vanguard:Saga of Heroes, GoW: Chains of Olympus, WarHawk
Battletech (virtual world pods) and I just started folklore.
Mass Effect. ALMOST DONE!
Discs of Tron, drinking NHL '08, and then assloads of World of Warcraft.
I finished Condemned 2 and continued to play Rock Band. I think I'm finally about ready to move onto Expert on guitar.
I played SSBB, MLB 08 The Show, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Rock Band
I worked all weekend. By the time i got off work i had enough time to sleep before i had to go to work again in the morning.
But i did manage to turn on my 360 atleast once before shutting it off within like 2 minutes.
Im just trying to hurry and beat dark sector and viking so i can trade'em in for GTA4
Three words: Okami, Okami, Okami!
I played Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and Solitaire
I plan to freeze myself till next week, wish me luck.
your thumb gets no sympathy from me :P
played some MLB 08 The Show and RockBand
Finally got the RRoD playing Saints Row this weekend. I wanted something to hold me over until GTA4, and now I can't even play GTA4. =(
Finished Vegas 2 coop over Live, CoD4 multi, and sunwell... Felmyst sucks soooo much.
Playing through solo realistic on Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Managed to squeeze in some time on Halo 3. Started up Rock Band long enough to download "Simple Man" but didn't try it yet.
Pokemon DS, "Halled of Fammed It" and then picked up the Fire Red GBA version to start the conquest of "Catching them All."
I tried to go back and play GTA San Andreas but it hurt my eyes after seeing what GTA IV will look like. I can't imagine trying to play it again after spending any amount of time actually playing IV, much less just looking at screens and videos.
I was still entertained by San Andreas... it was just frustrating flying in the Harrier and having so little of the terrain drawn in front of me. Trees and building pop up with little warning. I hope IV improves on this, which I expect it to since the general area in IV is smaller than that of San Andreas.
I played SimCity 4 and Team Fortress 2. Oh, and some Rock Band, too.
I played the first case in Phoenix Wright 3 Trials And Tribulations. Sitting on a deck with summer time weather, a DS and a cold drink are perfect mixture.
Half Life 2, Asterix at the Olympic Games, Sonic Advance, Sonic Rush, Garry's Mod.
I noticed my data corrupted on my PS3 version of Assassin's Creed. Figured that wouldn't do, and took the time to re-finish the game =/
I finished off the last of the major quests in Oblivion. I'm officially finished playing it. I also tried to get the MGO beta running, but you can probably guess how that turned out.
I played a bit of skate, and actually found a sweet spot I had never skated.
This week I'll be playing some Puzzle Quest: Market Research thing in L.A., maybe a bit of Team Fortress 2 and Unreal Tournament 3. Next week end I'll be at an NHRA hot rod competition with my dad, and then next tuesday is GTA4. Woo! Can't wait.
Team fortress 2. Some really great new maps have come out since I last played. It was a lot of fun.
Rock Band, Halo 3, COD4, SSBB, Portal, TF2, Warhawk, MGS4 (kidding)
Don't pretend like you really care what we played, you just want to boast about playing GTA early.
I've been playing Vice City...I beat it 100%...first game that I ever beat 100%, but I needed to revisit that wonderful game to get ready for GTA IV.
Other than that, I played a fair amount of Marvel VS Capcom 2 and FINALLY got the last character....servbot and also the last stage, now I just need to unlock all the artwork and "new colors"...meh
I played Civilization Revolution at the NYC Comicon and it was amazing.
Also some Zelda a link to the past
@castout: same here
couldnt play that much though...lots of homework
btw, how is GTA4?
It was pretty much just Mario Kart Wii for me. Didn't have a lot of time unfortunately. I tried giving Fallout a go but I feel that if you weren't there at the time it's hard to enjoy it.
Oh and Assassins Creed bizarrely.
I was waiting for it! "What did you play?" might be a better idea than "What are you playing?" though. Because you get the facts and not the pipe dreams :p
Spent some time with the Age of Conan PVP Weekend and I have to say it was really promising. The PVP minigames that was in this beta wasn't very polished, but the combat system is promising.
Other than that I worked some more on Lost Planet which I'm borrowing from a friend, and there was some hours of drunken 4player Mario Kart Wii and all the swearing about how crappy the wiimote is compared to the gamecube controller.
And yes, there was longing to gta4.
Mainly played GTA III on the PC. But I also played some Doom 2 (PC) as well as CoD4 and some Rock Band with the wife.
Soul Nomad, Rondo of Swords, and a little Pox Nora were what I spent time with this weekend
Ninja Gaiden (xbox)
Rock Band, Gran Turismo Prologue, Call of Duty 4.
Oh, and some Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on Friday.
My DualShock 3 is officially broken in.
Okami, Warhawk and Medieval 2. And finally got up to Wing Leader rank on Warhawk.
Well I have been playing Call of Duty 4 on my PS3 and also some Burnout Paradise as well. I am giving my Wii a break till Mario Kart Wii arrives and I almost forgot that Persona 3: FES is coming this Wednesday. Also can't wait for GTAIV week next week.
MGS2, COD4 and MGO beta if/when it comes out.
FF VII and desktop tower defense (1.5 and 1.0).
@kartritaren: Dude just picked that up... V that is.. better the IV. (please please please say yes)
I got some sleep. I played some Duke Nukem Forever, then once I got bored with that I jumped back into the Halo 4 Beta. Eventually I wrapped everything up with some Diablo 3 Alpha, and then I woke up.
World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft, and of course, World of Warcraft.
Did I mention... okay, that's enough.
We didn't need you Mike, I think Owen did this for us *sad face*. Either way I'm glad your back. Just to be nice I will tell you what i played. :D
I played breaking the wall after hearing the beta was being delayed. I got so mad i wanted to hurt somebody but no one was in my room. So after figuring this out i decide to get online and play some COD and kick GUndamn And Balance's ass online :D
I didn't have enough time to devote to any gaming this week. I decided to skip for a few weeks as I know that I'll be playing GTA IV for days on end.
I bought and played Mass Effect and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, both of which are teh awesome. I also picked up Okami for the Wii, but it hasn't gotten any face time yet... boo, me!
Finished Harvey Birdman for the Wii(and sent it back to Gamefly). Played a little House of the Dead: Wii, All-Pro Football, and watched the MG Online beta load. Paint, meet drying :)
I'd lie and list a bunch of obscure titles for street cred, but in actuality all I did was play WoW. I've played since release and now I'm two levels away from The Outlands.
My god that's sad.
