Alright ... there's "Bark at the Moon" on expert, and then there's "The Swan" by the Berliner Philharmoniker's number one asskicking cellist, whomever that is. Considering that success in this genre involves at least knowing the major riffs before you play it, I'm thinking that this flash game is more difficult by half than anything Guitar Hero or Rock Band has ever cooked up.
The game helpfully advises us that there are "one million possibilities to get tones from a cello." I am definitely expert on the first: a sphincter-clenching, fingernails-against-the-chalkboard grind.
Post your high scores in the comments. I can get to about 455 points before I start writing apologies to everyone who has ever handled this graceful instrument.

I got to about 1200 points before I decided enough was enough, I'm trying to play it with a touchpad though so I think I should have some kind of handicap
That wasn't that hard... finished the first song, 3862.
I beat it with 3600 points. Beautiful piece, no?

The thing I really liked about this was just how awful you really sounded if you messed up. Really made you want to do well.

@DangerMcD: I got 3718, also. It would have been better if I didn't have to move my mouse farther than the circle actually moved. Threw me off some.
Interestingly, the baby stopped crying as soon as I stopped. He obviously enjoys Little Einsteins more than my cello playing...
Playing it with a laptop touchpad isn't the easiest thing in the world to do.

Damn. Well, there's another reason to hate the Mighty Mouse. I swear I couldn't crack 1000 with it, and 400 of that was just waiting for it to begin (like the 400 you get just for signing your name on the SAT.)

I got 3851. It was pretty cool I guess.
@Eltigro: I agree, the mouse not being the circle itself is kind of off-setting. If they could fix that the game would be way better I think.

Not a bad game. Looks great. Throw in more songs and some keyboard action and it'll be the next big flash based music game.

I wish it had more songs but I played it twice. First go time my score was 3619 and my next play through was 3771. Once you get the fact that the cursor and the outer ring are diffrent in how fast they move it gets less challanging.

Ok I lied went throught a second time and got 4000 exact. Now Im stopping.
errr going left to right doesn't offer up much of a fun challenge...pretty easy and boring.. if you had to somehow do pretend fingerings for notes(like GH) WHILE playing the bow, it would be more of a game.

3700, not too awful. A bit disorienting that the mouse isnt the circle, and the fast bits are a bit unannounced. Maybe a vector scrolling down the screen could help.
@hamandcheeseUK: After the first left to right, I realized the same thing. I broke out into laughter after I reckon I did the same thing as Owen. Reminded me of the part in the first Ace Ventura when he walks out of the rich guy's house and pulls the cellist's bow out. Cracks me up every time.
