Q Entertainment and Valve have announced that henceforth the brilliantly addictive puzzle game Lumines shall be available for purchase via Steam. Much like the Xbox Live version of the game, Lumines is available as a base pack for $9.95, with an Advance Pack containing 21 new challenge mode skins, 60 puzzles for puzzle mode, and 35 stages for puzzle mode setting you back an additional $7.95, or you can grab the whole thing for $14.95, which is a much better deal, especially when you factor in the extra 10% you get if you purchase the game before Friday April 25th. I wonder if it will have the Heavenly Star stage? Just thinking about it makes me want to listen to the song 200 times in a row.

Remember when it was like;
"Hey guys, check out my PSP."
"*groan*"
"No no. You gotta see this game. Lumines."
*Three hours later*
"So...can I have my PSP back?"
Those days seem so long ago.
Just thinking about Heavenly Star makes me want to play No More Heroes all over again...
I wonder if they'll patch the PC version to allow your own music? That'd be... well... up to par with Audiosurf. :)
Needs moar SHININ'.
It would so own if they would give you the option to add you own songs! Like audiosurf!!!
Lumines is hella fun but i always liked Meteos better.
I grew out of Lumines after the first game. Good, but not soul-grabbing good.
Finally, I've been hoping there's be a pc version of this since I have a laptop but not a psp.
I want a Lumines game with 'shuffle'.
@KEITH1437: It'd need a way to generate little clips to use for movements and such. Which would be hella sweet.
Speaking of Heavenly Star, I still find it hilarious that Suda 51 put that song into No More Heroes.
Oh, dang. I'm SO tempted. [never played it but I heard of its greatness]
@Archaotic:
Isn't Suda 51 one of the dozens of peopel that make up the group Genki Rockets?
Anyway, the song was cool and all but it's the visuals in Lumines that really put it over the top.
So does anyone know yet if this is the good version (PSP or 360) or is it the garbage port that came out for PS2 a while back that had only one good song and the rest was made up stuff for the game.
I NEED MY BUTTERY BEATS!
Almost thought about buying this... then I realized I already own 1 & 2 for PSP. And I've barely played 2. And I probably paid around $15 for both of them combined.
never understood the attraction of this game? played it on my phone first, then the psp, then on my pc, each time it got worse and less fun. i dont get it
Since I don't have a PSP, PS2, or XB360 to play Lumines on, I'm glad it came out to the PC. I played it on a friends XB360, and fell in love with the Heavenly Star stage. I only wish it was in the PC version. :(
I'm still stunned at the add on prices, as I was on Live. If you have a PSP I can't see that as not being the version to go with, I have played the XBLA version and it looks good, but it's expensive for the lot.
Tried to get this, and it said that it wasn't available in my region (US). Sounds kind of dumb to restrict buyers, but whatever.
I think this was out since December on WildTangent. I downloaded it from torrents and I don't think this is the XBL version (the first skin is called My Generation, was that on XBL\Lumines 2?)
As fun as the game was, they turned me off with the bullshit payment plan they had for the XBLA version. Unless they had nothing to do with that... then I can redirect my hate toward Microsoft.
Lumines 1 was great, 2 "not so much" (to quote Borat Sagadieyev), PC version was... meh.
That's how you prostitute a legend.
Awesome, I've always wanted to try this game.
Too many games. I'm starting to get a little overloaded.
