Why couldn't this be Marvel Vs. DC? This just feels wrong.

We don't need a DC/MK crossover...noone will EVER need that. What we the people need is that Capcom vs Sammy crossover I was promised so many years ago. Sol vs Ryu with high-res hand drawn sprites? Goddamnit, what have we done to deserve this over that?

When I saw no fatalities, it was kind of intimidating.. "MK with no fatalities," I said to myself, "is a horrible idea."

Then I saw this.

And my fears were completely founded. Why in the world can I not forcefully remove Batman's spine from his neck with my bare hands? Is Batman that much more important to society than the MK characters? DIDN'T THEY SEE MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION?

Did they look at Mario and Sonic at the Olympics success and had the worst idea ever !?

I say wait until something is playable, it might be ok ... then again, I'm not really holding out hope. Wouldn't it be nice to be surprised though?

If they're smart, they'll keep to street level fighters only. Superman just doesn't fit into this.

Eh, I'm willing to keep an open mind. That said, I'm still a Marvel-over-DC guy, and a "any fighter but Mortal Kombat" guy...so yeah, I remain a little skeptical about this.

Terrible. One of the things that made Marvel vs Capcom so cool is that the characters looked great in many cases better than any other animated representation. then there were the crazy teamups like Strider Hiryu with Wolverine and Cable as the new Xmen trio, Or the heavy metal squad with Ironman Sentinal and MegaMan, or the Velvetta and Cheddar team Juggernaut, Sentinal and Cable...not to mention the awesome over the top gameplay and combo system.

MK has never been the best animated or designed fighter..in 2D or 3D and DC characters are okay, but aren't as significant unless handled by a great design group...suckage.

They're copying the marvel vs. capcom formula.

I love how everyone judges the game from a quick concept bad quality trailer.

No doubt there won't be fatalities, but in all seriousness why would their be? Do you really see any sort dismemberment in the DC universe.

MK is not as prevalent as Capcom. DC is not as prevalent as Marvel. This game oozes fail

At first I thought this might be a neat idea, but the more I think and read about it the more I think it's just silly and well... dumb.

Really, why else would you include Mortal Kombat? What exactly DID MK have, except for excessive gore and over the top fatalities? You get rid of that and you have a third-rate fighting game.

Anyway, I really don't care about the lack of fatalities. I don't really have much fond memories of MK that are at risk of being destroyed over this. The combat looked ok though. The throwing looked cool, but I have to dock it due to lack of batarang. Seriously, he's Batman. The first thing you should show of him is his gadgets. Without them, he just a guy who beats people up in a funny costume.

DC has three of the top ten most recognizable characters in the world.
Marvel only has one with Spider-Man.

Somehow I think that makes them prevalent.

As for this game, I don't care all that much about it. The fighting in every one of these games has never been that good, and no fatalites takes out the one thing that would really make it worth seeing as far as I am concerned.

Still, I hope it does well. Maybe then we'll get an actual DC fighting game (without Mortal Kombat) that will be worth playing.
