@GumbyX: It's a sort of combat game where two players, each with one of the books, calls pages for their character with respective stats and counters and wotnots. I won't claim to be intimately familiar with the concept as I can't read moonspeak, but some sources say this was actually an American product that flopped and was picked up by the Japanese about 5 years back.

It is, by and large, not pornographic--while there've been spinoffs that are nothing but the unf unf twisty, the main lines (Blade and Gate) are at their worst high end revealing with nary a nipslip in sight, and there's never any real presentation of sex--it's hardly even implied.

...well, except maybe the gel-based bunnygirl one, but even that's just teasing.

@Linnard: Yea, these combat books were big back in the 80s before computers were up to the task of keeping track of all those stats. ^_^ I still have the Battletech books and Marvel Super Heroes books. You could basically play by each person picking a characters book and fight each other in an rpg kinda way. The books could mix and match. I guess nowadays collectible card games are more customizable for the same type of experience. It was pretty cool, but it's better here in the future. Now we have Warcraft, Mass Effect, Soulcalibur and Armored Core which are all a little more exciting than those books were. I would buy this SNK book if only it were a pillow..

Seriously though, this kind of game does sound a bit interesting, and I don't mean just for the T&A aspect (which I see as a glorious addition to an already great product). I never even knew about "Fantasy Combat Book Games" before seeing this post. I guess we have CCGs nowadays to fill in the hole, but I wouldn't mind looking into these and maybe playing a round with somebody (again, not necessarily one of the ecchi ones, but that would be an added bonus ^_^ ).
