Did we get your attention before it was Too Late? We hope so. Because if you were already interested in picking up Ninja Gaiden II, pre-ordering the game at Circuit City will score you the Halo 3 Legendary Map pack free. While the process isn't instantaneous, Circuit City will email you a redemption code within a week of your order. And seeing as Halo doesn't seem to be going anywhere in the near future, it could be a decent way to save yourself ten dollars 800 Microsoft Points.

Whoops.
I want both, but this does sound like a bit of a hassle.
Oh. No.
Why do you hope NOT? Why bother even posting this if you don't want people to save money?
Hmmmm tempting
apparently this news came too late, bad call on Circuit City.
Nice deal imo, I may end up going this route. I wasn't even gonna bother purchasing this map pack, but as a pre-order bonus on a game I am absolutely getting, tis a nice deal.
Triple Word Score! Good looking out CC!
@Takuthehedgehog: I feel like you need to read a little close what they said.
@Takuthehedgehog: Hahaha- Zing!
is this an online only offer?
WOOT! I was adamant about not buying them. I'm also adamant about getting NGII. Go me.
@Iceking5: Hassle?? Where's the hassle? Having to wait for an email is considered a hassle? Wow....just wow....
No Canada again. :(
Hmmm just like the Crackdown/Halo 3 demo.
@z357x: Actually, no, you do.
"Did we get your attention before it was Too Late? We hope not."
Read it slowly, now.
Just in time! Well, I actually never intended to purchase the map pack to begin with, but a heads-up is always great... for American players at least. Should I ever choose to make the jump to these new Halo maps, 800 precious Microsoft Points will still be pried from my fingertips like stolen candy.
really good idea....but too late.
if they had been advertising it a week ago, i would have looked into this for sure.
I'd rather wait and see if somebody is selling NG2 for cheap when it's released.
so pre order i really awsome game that is a sequel to an awsome game, get a map pack for a ok game thats a sequel to a bad game that was a sequel to a great game. ( ie halo 3 was ok, halo 2 sucked, halo 1 was awsome)
@Mr.SithNinja:
Driving to America, preordering it, and coming back to pick it up. That's a hassle :)
Or... wait 6 months or so until it is just plain free.
@Mr.SithNinja: Back when I was a kid, we'd have to walk twenty feet in the freezing snow to get the mail from a mail box. And the mail was on paper, and had to be transported on a truck. A truck!
Epic win
I'm going to get NG2 anyway and this is a free bonus. Circuit City will get a good amount of additional sales with this.
no thanks, I'll spend the $10 rather then the $60 for a game I won't play that much since I'll be playing Halo 3 the whole time.
Couldn't wait that long for the maps....must....play....Lock---err Blackout......
Paying for maps really bums me out...this deal sounds ideal.
Can you pre-order it, get the code, then cancel the pre-order? I'm sure some of you have thought of it, so I have to ask!
How many maps does the pack contain ?! I've never purchased extra maps but 10 dollars looks way too expensive !
I bet they could've sold it for 2$ but went like: It's Halo stuff, they'll buy it for 10$ anyway !
@Iceking5: I forgot this was a "global community". ;) My bad...
@Super_Nintendo_Chalmers: That's nothing! I had to walk up hill BOTH WAYS in a blizzard-ami (that's a blizzard and tsunami hybrid) to get my mail when I was your age. (shakes cane in the air out of general frustration with the world)
3 maps, most other map packs for games (ie COD4) are the same price.
I already paid for them, and I don't like Ninja Gaiden enough to buy Ninja Gaidan II for $50.
Interesting that Circuit City is using the Crackdown sales tactic for Ninja Gaiden 2. lol
good deal
Eh, Ninja Gaiden was too frustrating for me, so I won't be bothering with #2.
I wasn't going to buy this map pack but I didn't buy the last one and as someone else pointed out here $10 doesn't really get you a whole lot anymore. So I might as well stop being such a tightwad and fork over the cash.
@Takuthehedgehog: We are bastards with typos, that's why.
Well, that would be great if there was a Circuit City anywhere near me. You people and your conveniently located electronics stores.
@JustJake: Nah; this is not the same thing. Ninja Gaiden 2 is a big release in itself, contrarily to Crackdown, and a map pack for Halo 3 is a much smaller release than the Halo 3 beta. And there's an easy way to get the maps other than pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 2, which wasn't the case with the Halo 3 beta.
No love for les Canadien. We'll have to cough up our 10 loonies (or 5 toonies) for the map pack.
@Mr.SithNinja: Well it would be a hassle if you hadn't planned on pre-ordering NG2. Of course this is irrelevant because...why wouldn't someone want to pre-order NH2?!
@dowingba: *NG2! As you can tell, I suck at Typing of the Dead.
@HibikiRush: Umm, yeah, I am also curious about this...guess i'm gonna be the one to try it lol
It's online only... Says Internet deal on the site...
[www.circuitcity.com]
Hmm... Interesting... Unfortunately I don't live in America and we here in Dreamhackland don't have any Circuit City... Fortunately I don't have Halo 3 and am not planning on getting it!
Just placed my order, guess we'll see in a few days if i'll be able to cancel and keep the maps...
*crosses fingers* Here's hoping I pull one over on the man!
@HibikiRush:
Only 3 ! Sorry for my lack of knowledge on DC pricing but I never thought people were stolen so easily ! At that price I'd prefer sticking to what's in the game, I'd get bored faster but there's so much great games that need my attention !
@Shteve:
Definitely true, and I agree... I paid $70 for the LE version of Halo 3, add in 2 map packs on top of that at $10 each and it's nearly a $100 game.... It gets a little pricey that's for sure. That's why I'm trying to score these maps for free with this deal! ;)
@Takuthehedgehog: Why would they hope they got to us "too late?" THEN there would have been no point in posting.
If I could actually wait a week to get the code, I would do this, but, alas, I am an impatient being, so when work is over, color me downloading.
@Shteve: ...I see what you did there! You acted like you didn't know anything about the pricing of DLC to make a point about how you think Halo 3's map packs are a ripoff! That was very clever.
I love how people complain that there is more expansion content for a game. Like Halo 3 didn't have a full multiplayer component at launch. Yeah, ok.
@HibikiRush: What I never understood is why the Legendary version didn't some with a little something more than a stupid helmet. What would have been the greatest was a special armor or game variant that only us suckers who got the version would be able to have.
Nothing along the lines of the flaming codpiece, but how about instead of the Hyabusa sword, one of those bright orange bicycle bike flags? That would be the bees knees.
Well, this works out well for me! I can't really play my 360 anyways until Friday.
