Not to be outdone by the PS3 Store redesign, the PC/PSP Store has also had a quick facelift. Those looking for radical improvements (like the ditching of the download tool) to the way things are done will be disappointed, as the improvements are purely cosmetic, but hey, since the store worked just fine before that's hardly the single biggest issue facing the world today.

too bad we can't download directly to the PSP.

Awesome! Can't wait to check it out live! Really liking the blue.
Ah its good that their trying to keep in uniform with their online interface for the playstation brand. Too bad they didn't take away the download application.
I've never really liked this store. I've used it a million times and yet I still can't get my head around it. Why didn't they just create a Flash-based xmb interface???
I never liked this site. Even after using it a million times it never really felt like comfortable. Why didn't they just create a Flash-based version of the xmb instead???
Is it still not compatible with Macs? Because I am not too happy about that decision.
Use Parallels =) thats what i do@bangbangblah:
@topbravo222: What's that? Would you mind linking me?
I don't know that I would call its previous state "working just fine" really, although I guess that depends where you set the bar. Eventually you manage to get the stuff you purchased actually downloaded to your PSP, but in my case the downloader process zombies out for a good 10-15 minutes before it even looks like it's doing anything. There's also the little issue I had with it arbitrarily rejecting my credit card...

Sneaky, I read there wouldn't be a PC store "makeover" on the PS blog. It's nice to know they didn't leave out PSP users with the old looking store.
@FatalChaos: Sometimes they surprise us... =)
Looks very nice, too bad there is little to download and enjoy there =/
direct-to-psp access to the psp store WOULD be brilliant.. downloading stuff straight onto your memory stick and using it.
/drools
@topbravo222: oh. I don't have $80 to spare. But thanks!
They announced direct-to-psp at GDC but I suspect not until after Home comes out or something.
It's still better than not having anything official running from your Stick. I just hope they start offering new or original stuff soon.
So, last night I fire up my PS3 for the first time in about 8 months (I prefer my 360), because I heard there was a Naruto game on the PS store. Of coarse I have to install the latest update, which takes way to long to download and install. When I finally get to the PS store, It's says it's unavailable and down for maintenance. Oh well, Maybe in another 8 months I be back.
@ Vexorg:
I also had a problem with my credit card and only worked when I filled in a previous address.
Im not sure why people hate on the original store because I thought it was pretty good. It used REAL money and is easier than Amazon when completing a transaction and Amazon is easy.
@globones: The main hate comes from the store not being directly on the PSP.
Personally I don't care, I don't like the idea of using the store on psp. Just having to make a purchase would be a pain and inputting anything on portables is irritating... well not on DS in some cases. But I assume it would be more fluid if you had everything on file with your account and can simply click and buy
