Re: Hospital... Endless... So... Tired...
Quiet footsteps across the Kotaku Tower floor are deafening in the silence left behind
No bird shirt...no McWhert-or...just the quiet ticking of time and the slight breeze
As Mark and I pass, then pass again.
The day draws to a close and the shadows grow long and in the distance
I hear the pleasant song of the night writers chattering from across the sea
So I type some words and leave a note, rubbing soreness from my wrists
And leave them with the posts they missed...

That's fucking terrifying, Fahey.
Hey, nice job on that. How long did you work on it?
@MrAkash: heh i thought i was the only one that felt it was creepy
good ... but creepy hehe
@Neer'mo: Bout ten minutes. I get weird when I am very tired.
*snap* *snap* *snap*
@Mike Fahey: Sleep drunk eh?
Ha, I loved it.
Somehow your posts always catch me off guard and I laugh for days.
and that's why I leave the prose to the pros. :P
Good stuff Fahey. This was almost as good as the Sonic post to Brian number 2!
@Mike Fahey: Fahey you must have a "write off" against Tycho. ;D
Who shall sing the song that will end the world!
That's probably the scariest thing I'll read tonight
@Mike Fahey: Better weird than pissy. I liked it!
You're making me want to go draw that scene now. I can see it in my head.
Stop making me want to do things I don't have time for!
*Looks at clock, which is ticking down to the deadline for 3D Modeling project*
That will give me nightmares for the rest of tonight, good job!
quote the raven "NEVER MORE" ......creeppyyyyy . I was waiting to read this part... "Raindrops is hitting my window, making this beautiful music as I sit quietly at my desk. I faintly hear a tapping at my window that is not to part of the music of the raindrops. I see a dark figure at the corner of my eye , I slowly turn my head to the window. I see the stranger there tapping at my window smiling at me and he says to me " Thank you for the candy!"
apparently i'm the only one who thought that was beautiful...
@Gantz: Your Trusted Friend in Science.:
I thought it was very Noir. Not creepy at all. Bird shirt? Trade it in for a Bird trench coat.
Come on Fahey...you've been writing that poem for MONTHS, and waiting to use it ;)
@Witzbold: I would actually pay for that: as in real, cold hard scratch.
Kudos Mr. Mike. I definitely dig the streams of consciousness style. At one moment it appears as a shrouded mist, enveloping a low-lying body of water. Then next it - Woah, sorry 'bout that. Carry on.
Maybe it's just my sixth graders rubbing off on me, but I read it and thought about farting.
"and the slight breeze As Mark and I pass, then pass again."
Then I thought you must be getting light headed and hallucinating from the noxious fumes...
"the shadows grow long and in the distance
I hear the pleasant song of the night writers chattering from across the sea"
And then you left the room so they couldn't blame the lingering smell on you.
"leave a note ... And leave them with the posts they missed..."
But that's just me. I never was good at interpreting poetry... unless it's a dirty limerick... do those count?
@Mike Fahey: Very refreshing post Fahey. How airy, and smooth.
Great poem and all, but who decided Kotaku should be a tower? It's a rather unfitting name for a tower, methinks.
Men of many words seldom say anything worth listening to
even though their words are refreshing,
like me and my pages.
Brilliance in a man not decided by time or thought,
but by impact notwithstanding the text...
Pass other writers
be they near or far, though the entire world
reads your words
and the entire world
has a comment.
Great poem, Mike, from one aspiring poet to one great blogger :)
I thought it was lovely, very poetic, and not creepy. It's atmospheric. *snaps fingers beatnik style*

This reads like a Moody Blues song. I don't know if that's good or bad!
I don't know if I am commenting on this post too late for you to get it but I just wanted to let you know. My wife had HORRIBLE morning sickness for nearly 2 months. Thank god it is gone now, but they prescribed her some morning sickness pills called, Diclectin.
This stuff is pure gold! The change in her was almost instant. Unfortunately its worth as much as gold, I am not sure how health insurance works in Japan.
I did some quick googling and it looks like its not available in Japan but you can have you doctor proscribe her the ingredients and it should work the same way.
I have included a link with some info, feel free to drop me an email if it does not come through.
btw morning sickness is linked with healthy babies ;)

Looks like my last comment did not work, here goes again. Ask your doctor to look into Diclectin for your wife, it looks like it is not available in japan but the ingredients are.
My wife had HORRIBLE morning sickness and this stopped it completely.
