This week's Xbox Live Arcade offerings are brought to you by the letter B! Something old and something we hope you'll really like are coming your way, in the form of the arcade classic Battlezone (400 Microsoft points) and Rocky & Bullwinkle (800 Microsoft points). One is a fast-paced collection of microgames featuring classic cartoon characters from ages past, and the other is vector tank combat with redone graphics and all-new Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag modes! Both utilize the Xbox Live Vision Camera for added functionality, so now it's up to you to figure out which is which. Good luck and godspeed!

Battle Zone with Death-match? Sounds awesome, but how will it work?
Now would probably be a good time to mention that I hated Rocky and Bulwinkle.
Battlezone, on the otherhand, I really enjoyed. What I'd really like, though, would be for the late 90's Battlezone to come back. Darn thing just dropped off the face of the earth.
kewl. i remember sticking my face into the facial oil covered cabniet version when i was a kid.
i pick it for simply for nostalgias sake - and because i'm rich and spend money like it's made of water.
I could go for some Fractured Fairy Tales...
Their putting my childhood up on XBLA gradually.
since both use the camera ... hmmm ... it'll be a hard choice this week.
Wow these look pretty cool, can't wait!
I'm actually pretty jealous now...I loved Rocky and Bullwinkle as a kid. Silly to say I might get a 360 just for this o.o;
@Pezdispenser: Whaaaaaaaa? Hated, you say? Rocky and Bullwinkle? How dare you! :p
I'm particularly interested in Battlezone, though, although I, too, wish the remake with the first-person RTS feel would come back. I was too young to really "get it" the first time around, but thinking back, it actually seemed like a really cool concept. I mean, Americans and Soviets fighting a secret war on the Moon? With hover tanks? How much cooler can you get?
i love moose and squirrel!
I just has a hardcore flashback when i saw Battlezone. Hopefully it is half as fun as I remember it.
It probably will be considering that old games like that usually controlled like crap and were slow.
@Pezdispenser:
I never knew it was humanly possible to hate Rocky and Bullwinkle. Burn him, he's a witch!
Oh snap, Battlezone...!! That takes me back. Kinda want, but alas, no has Xbox...
Oh, SHIT. I just realized what Battlezone was. Damn, that was such a fun game. And now it's with added pretty ...too bad I don't have a 360.
Sherman: Why is Xbox Live down, Mr. Peabody?
Peabody: Quiet you!
Rocky and Bullwinkle got a whopping 3.5 out of 10 from the official xbox magazine. ouch. I was excited until I saw that.
You guys seriously want a Rocky and Bullwinkle game in 2008?
Rocky and Bullwinkle has Deathmatch mode?
...hmm. I may have to get this then.
Someone actually made Battlezone for XBLA?
They are seriously running out of ideas...
I agree with the above commenter. I too can't stand Rocky & Bullwinkle.
It's pretty cool that Rocky & Bullwinkle looks exactly like the cartoon.
I don't know what would cause someone to make a Rocky & Bullwinkle video game. No offense to fans, but the show was pretty boring. Once you even felt a tinge of interest, they ended up leaving you at a cliffhanger to show some short cartoon which is just as boring.
Dang, I feel so old now because I grew up playing BattleXone in the Arcades as a kid and I loved the Rocky and Bulwinkle show. lol
I will try both before I take the plunge. lmao
@Strangelove: Get off my lawn!
battlezone is looking really, really sharp...
@i_lie_to_fit_in: It had better be, it was a vector-based game ;o
Rocky and Bullwinkle!?
Finally, the good games are starting to trickle out on XBLA. In a few months, we may get Thomas the Tank Engine and Gumby.
-_-
Battlezone's looking sexy...
How many box tops is "800 Microsoft points"? I've been eating this cereal for weeks and I'd hate for it to just go to waist!
