oooooooh. its difficult to realise just how rubbish the current store is (in content and layout)if you're living in PAL-land

b - this makes the layout seem merely crap.

a quick log into the US store shows an embarrasment of riches, and its bloody murder trying to find anything.

Cool I like the new look, now if only Sony bring more PS1 titles to the Store that would be amazing.

Perhaps once they are done making it look pretty they will add some actual content other than endless video's of GT5.

I hope they add a way to browse by genre. It's very annoying having to look at the details of every single game just to see what it is. I'd like to just select RPG and see what games they have for download, demos, trailers, etc.

Yaywalter, how do you download the home beta? I know you need to use ps3 proxy. Anyone know of a quick tutorial??

@sbryce: Not really. Currently you can go to PS3 downloads or PS3 demos and get some genres. But, there is no way to look for everything related to a specific genre. What I want is to be able to select RPG and see a list of every title with any type of content at all (download, demo, trailer, add-on, wallpaper, theme, whatever).

As it stands I have to make a list of every RPG I'm curious about then go through the alphabetical sections one at a time. It's a huge pain.

You can't access the Home servers trying the proxy server download on the net.That's why your getting a copyright error code.It's useless and you'll run the risk of losing your psn account.I would just wait a little longer.

I wonder... IF there really is a schedueled home beta on the way as sony's "Special suprise" (Which i'd say are looking pretty good with the ver 1.00 out there now..) will the japanese get it, and can i download it with my japanese PSN account? Oooh! im so excited.

I like the new PS Store Design. But I would like more and new content here in the land of PAL even more...oh well, hope dies last I guess

I think you'll see FW2.30/store update on the 15th,but a content update won't hit till the 17th.

funny how people still call it "PAL" hehe i guess it's residue from the golden console age , no such thing as PAL beyond 720p , and if you're playing at a lesser resolution i think you should start considering an investment in a new tv hehe

hopefully the new layout will also allow you to just cursor easily through selections and screens like live does. i really can't stand, no, hate the current store web interface. it's horribly slow and has a horrible interface.

a web like interface with console controls just totally doesn't work very well.

Nice - on the 15th we get the revised PS Store, and on the 17 I can download the MGO beta (but not play it until the 21st).

A very nice job redesigning the visual and functional portions of the store, especially changing it from website based. Now I can only hope Sony starts to push more PS1 titles. I'd like to see 1-3 new PS1 titles each week, much like Virtual Console on the Wii. And they need to get more studios on board to bring those excellent 3rd party games in.

And while I'm at it I would also like to see updates to those games, making additions were necessary (online multi-play) and offering up the option to the player whether they prefer the classic or updated version. Hey I can dream can I not? And while not completely related, I'd like to see these games adopt the Warhawk type of connectivity by allowing users to create their own servers, essentially nullifying the reliance on a 3rd party host in order to play with friends online.
