When Sony decided to officially support the PSP's original 2200mAh battery for the PSP Slim—which required the release of a larger, lopsided case door—Sony's sleek new PSP revision became the victim of a botched nose job at the benefit of some major batter life.
But if the 2200mAh battery is a crooked nose, this 3600mAh model is Michael Jackson before the swelling has gone down on his single-tit silicon implant. Now with that appetizing image in mind, hit the play button!

Where is eastx at? He could have gotten number five for the day.
Seriously though, I don't see the other battery being that huge of a deal. It's amazing what people will complain about these days.
A better title would have been "That's not a PSP Battery, that's a Battery PSP"
I have no problems with my psp battery but thats good to know, but thats one huge battery
I watched this yesterday and boy does this guy like hearing his own voice. Just incessant mumbling. This video was about 2 minutes longer than it needed to be.
That guy has horrible speaking skills.
If the cover he got with it were white instead of black there'd be a lot less to bitch about here. Yea sure it's not as sleek but what did he expect? Bigger capacity = bigger size, especially with batteries.
that was excruciating to watch.
If you do 5 seconds of research online, you can find a ton of reasons not to buy 3rd party PSP batteries. Cosmetic issues aside, there are often serious battery life complaints that people are logged.
Pay a third of the price, expect a third of the quality.
that, uhhh, was, uhhh, long.
That whole video could have been replaced with a photo of the PSP with the jumbo battery in it.
This is a lesson in how to turn 15 seconds into forever...
Wow this guy is an idiot... complaining about 10 dollars and the fact that a higher capacity battery = larger physical size.
I wonder if he thinks his videos are good/entertaining...
@Lixie:
you tend to get that a lot with these kind of videos.
if that thing really lasts 40 hours i really dont think id mind the size, and for ten bucks it couldn't hurt to try
"When Sony decided to officially support the PSP's original 2200mAh battery for the PSP Slim"
see also: didn't want double the number of battery SKU's
When it comes to unnecessary sizes, the duration of the video beats the battery by a mile.
Im pretty sure that if he lost one of his hands, he would be incapacitated...FOREVER.
Old.
Maybe the bigger battery will help with those hand cramps?
*AND* on *top* of that, those of us with crude ape-like hands, such as myself, *crave* these kinds of extensions, because the PSP is too small and uncomfortable to hold and use normally.
If only someone would mod a PSP into an original XBOX controller, *then* I could enjoy the wonderful new horizons in portable gameplay.
IS NOT A TOOMUH.
Add my vote for the "who cares, battery life is worth it" argument.
I have one of these but the thing heats to frightening degrees so I had to rely on it only as a back up.
slamming the PSP down incessantly is a great way to get that battery out...what a moron.
That guy's sarcasm sure was hilarious... I was rofl'ing after he mumbled "this uh is uh small" for the 50th time. I bet the ladies are all over this guy.
Why would somebody bitch about such a huge battery anyway, you get 48 hours out of it! If they didn't know it was going to be that big before they ordered it then they should have looked for a picture.
that things the size of an Xbox
slamming the PSP against the ground is a great way to get that "small" battery out. what a moron!
I bought the Sony 2200mAh battery and have had no problem with it's size as the life is much longer than the standard 1200mAh battery, but what's shown in the video is too much.
I must have cut myself a solid 3 times watching this.
That aside. Thats a tad on the large side. lawl
Huge? check!
Ugly? check!
Cheap? two checks!
Batterie life?.........uh, the dumbass never gave results on the performance of it's intended use.
@deathbunny:
I hope you're joking. The giant Xbox controllers made me want to throw up everytime I even looked at them.
That shit looks like it could power an aircraft carrier.
OMG Big battery is big.
Ok, crappy internet humor aside, what did he expect? The only thing utterly horrible about this (from what he managed to droll out) is that the thing is the wrong color.
He didn't even report on the battery life. WTF? Way to inform us there man, Why don't you mumble out the same line a few DOZEN more times instead?
He needs to invest in a tripod.
48 hours?!
£2.99 on amazon?! ($5)
I've already ordered one. BD
Has this fucker ever heard of a camera stand? Tri pod? Or maybe editing?
Well I see you've played knifey spoony before.
Sooo....Does it work? Did it give a 40 hour battery life?
If so, it'd totally be worth it.
uhh...yeah....I...uhh...think...uhh..the video would have been...uhh.... better if he told us.
I thought it was a knoife....
@Lixie: uhhmm.. tssk.. yeeeaahh.. uhhhm.. what do you meeaaan?
The guy on the vid sounds like a druggie who smoked too many weed. But then since weed is a death sentence in my country, what do i know...
What the hell did this guy expect? Plus, all he seemed to be bitching about was the asthetics. Does it actually last as long as advertised? Is it playable with the pack in? There may be some situations, like on vacation, were you'd rather lug the big battery around than lug a charger around.
It took him long enough to figure out that he could put down the damn camera.
Haven't had any problems with the 1200 mAh one, myself. The Sony battery kit dealy is pretty slick, but I can't see spending $40 on something I won't take advantage of.
@liquid_kore: damnit! you beat me to the quote!
Seriously, what a bitch goes on and on about how large the battery is. If it DOES give 40 hours of battery life, I'm willing to deal with that. I have large hands myself. Obviously not a recommended battery for kids or people who want their PSP to look perfect all the time.
$10 for 40 hours of battery life actually sounds good. Real large or not.
I had to bust out my PSP to see if the battery is actually that difficult to remove. It is not. No meleeing of the unit on the desk required.
Man it's hard to watch this because of his constant uh, um, huh, yah, etc. I had to mute the video.
@Wolfers:
Yeah, it's pretty easy :)
Woah - Maybe handy for a 2 day lounge Monster Hunter hunting benge? ... Haha, entertaining video.
Hell, Just looking at the logo on that battery makes me afraid of the product. I learned my lesson about 3rd party accessories a long time ago. I don't trust any of them that directly effect my game systems. I'd say TV/Video cables would be about the only thing I would take a chance on with 3rd party products. Only because they're incapable of hurting your game system or you TV due to poor quality. A 3rd party battery is sure as hell not something I would trust plugging into my PSP.

This video would have taken half the length if he'd just stop blabbing about pointless bullshit.
that's ridiculous! might be nice to have on long plane trips though.
@Ignatius: Hey! Don't discriminate against me! I'll throw poo. And dirt. Whatever I can get my hands on. That's how I react.
Yes. I legitimately loved the original XBox controllers, and legitimately disliked the S-pads, and continue on an epic journey of legitimately disliking wiimotes, which are too small and thin, psp controllers, which need bigger arm things on the bottom to grab, and *even* GBA SPs, which cause my claws to shrivel up into ... claws.
Only thing about original XBox controllers was that they would have lose parts bouncing around in them, and then they'd stop working... poor things. So better made bigger controllers would be ideal.
I have but one regret, and that is that I crush all the bunnies when I hug them :(
Now that is quite a big battery but you need to have a look at this one > [www.manoogian.net]
I can remember seeing this battery on a channel called MAX TV, the only thing that makes it slightly better is the extra 4GB storage on the other side.
And also, why do we really need bigger batteries? My PSP has a 1800mAh battery in and that is suffice for me, but I suppose people might want marathons and stuff.
I also had to get my PSP just to check the battery! It appears to have a lip on it so you can 'lever' it out which I thought made it super easy compared to fiddling around with those pesky AAAs on a GameBoy Pocket.
The only thing that I'll remember from this video is his 2 minutes struggling to remove the battery and then another 2 minutes to put the huge battery cover
wow that could kill someone
What an annoying video. It could have been half as long and he didn't even turn the PSP on to show the battery life. If the PSP would have said 40 hours remaining on the charge, i'd be tempted as hell to buy that battery.
