LAME. havn't i seen this somewhere before? A tried and true game character becomes a wolf... None of us want anything NEW from sonic, we want the OLD gameplay! c'mon guys, use the formula that is right in front of your eyes!

Twilight Princess-alike or not. This teaser gets me a little excited for a sonic game for once..something different than a new color hedgehog PLUS original style levels. actually looking forward to it.

I hope, for the sake of Sega and Sonic that this is released as a download for PS3 and 360 versions, it seems neat but an awful waste of disc space, and it only cost between 10-20 bucks

Lol was I the only person who thought it was Lord-of-the-rings(ish) I was expecting Sonic to wear the ring and turn invisible or something.
Good wolf affect though...But...isnt changing into a wolf a bit too much? (TP, Okami etc) couldnt he of turned into...Oh I dunno, an OAP or a Bird? No wait, Sega have nearly made a character from every animal so its not surprising hes turning into a wolf..

That's it. I want Masahiro Sakurai and his people to get custody of Sonic. They've already proven themselves with Brawl. Leave it to the guys who do Kirby to remember what it takes to make Sonic cool.

Why couldn't SEGA expand on the old Sonic comics? In those Super Sonic (who I'm guessing is replaced by this WereSonic) was an uncontrollable psychopath dragged out of Sonic by collecting rings. Obviously that's what the Unleashed trailer is insinuating, but why not stay within the realms of the Sonic lore? For once, they could have fashioned a half-way decent plot, but this... this is gonna suck.

How could Sega ruin such an awesome classic franchise? Seriously, is it so hard to design a good game that they have to resort to gimmicks such as a...werewolf Sonic?

Anyways, I don't really get it... A Werehedghog. Is one of either two things: 1) Genius 2) The stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Well as long as the same mechanic of the old game play is still there I think i will be happy. We still don't know details so i don't know why everybody is complaining. It will either be good or bad until then enjoy the trailers. *drools*

@PaulHunter: It is disgusting how companies repetitively release the same garbage - but with an empty addition touted as some exciting new feature, instead of actually looking at what's wrong with what they've created.

I'm really boggled at how companies continue to pull the same garbage when trying to cash-in on a popular game. Look at the Mega Man X series. Absolutely no effort has led to compeltely bland games that are less exhilarating that their SNES predecessors.
There's no difference between what's happened to these two series.

A lack were-transformation isn't what the Sonic games needed to be once again anywhere near decent.

This looks really good, Ive been playing my dreamcast sonic adventure games and really cant wait. For all of those people who just complain about the werewolf...uh thats kinda cool, and as another poster pointed out look at all the "gimmicks" mario has used in the past..sonic just doesnt need a suit to change..

I will watch out for this,but the last Sonic games have really jaded me.I haven't like anything since my dreamcast.Btw,that thing was way ahead of it's time.I was playing some Virtua Tennis the other night and it looks better than a current console.
