Sounds like 360 Magazine had quite a spread on Fallout 3 for this last issue, with nine pages dedicated to the upcoming Bethesda game. Fallout 3, A Post Nuclear Blog, has a run down of the magazine article as well as a number of scans from it showing off some new screens and art for the game. This is one of the few games that really blew me away at last E3, I can't wait to see how it's shaping up this year.

Want!
ooo i can't wait to get me some fallout 3
The PC version with DX10 looks awesome.
Want it!
I'll let some of the low-res textures slide since this is still early. Everything else is looking great.
I need to go explore these screen shots... right after I clean these semen stains of my chair :(
so excited for this
bethesda ftw
@ultraViolence: "bethesda ftw"
I second that, just so long as the do pull any more of that horse armor type shit.
At this point it's not as much a matter of "How am I going to pay for these games?" as "When the fuck will I have time to play these games?"
If there are women in the UK version, I wonder how they're going to explain what happened to all the talking dogs. :p
Haha, censorship makes things so weird. Sweet looking screenshots though, I'm looking forward to it.
mmmm dogmeat
Why is that guy in power armour killing the ghoul?
Can't he see it wants to hug him?
"GHOUL ONLY WANT FRIEND!"
@VishusBurn:
dammit.
do = don't.
While I am excited, I personally feel Fallout is overrated.
@VishusBurn: The horse armor failed so badly they gave it away for free. I don't think they'll try that again.
Give it up NOW, or when it's totally ready whatev.
Yup... I'm excited. Definitely excited. *shaking*
[*] Blowing off Limbs

[?] Man's best friend
[?] MOAR!!!
Everyone of those was in the XBox magazine from last month. Some of them are in the current EGM as well. Then again, I'm the only one who reads magazines anymore...
Nice, they didn't forget to include the dog.
Man. Always back to the horse armor. Poor Bethesda.
Looks awesome.
My drool just shorted my keyboard....
God damn I want me some Fallout 3 NOW.
Looks great..I should go beg for a early copy..please?
@Doomstink: You're not alone sir. I still have a subscription to EGM.
Game of the year inc!
Looks like shit, who cares about this stupid game, only retarded old school pc gamers would like a low res copy of bioshock like this ( Just Kidding :p)
the rather large size of the supermutants made me feel all warm and fuzzy, in a "I almost crapped my pants" kind of way. This game will own my soul.
fallouts greatest games ever made .
Never played the original Fallouts, seeing as how I've only recently gotten into PC gaming and the only console game was a crappy hack and slash for the PS2.
Well...uh...the graphics are nice, I guess...but I'm still finding it hard to get hyped over this. At least one shot of some sort of melee combat might change my mind, but 'Oblivion with guns' is really one of the last things I want to play this or any year.
Now this is simply awesome. Bethesda are one ht best RPG makers ever. All hail Bethesda, masters of all things RPG. I cannot wait for this game. I want to see PS3 shots now though.
@slomo788: Dude seriously. I can't even begin to explain how stoked I am on this game. This summer/Fall is shaping up to be like 07's. Bioshock in August, then a plethora(sp?) followed. Stoked.
@Blah-Blah-Blah: I'm fairly certain they're going to be comperable to what's shown in these shots...
Daaang, I remember when people said that 07 was gonna be the best year ever for gaming but 08 looks just as great. Especially with all these open-world games coming out like GTA, Fable, and the virtual viagra called Fallout.
does anyone else see just an Oblivion mod here? or is it me
Yea, consider me extremely excited. Besides sly boots, Fallout is the king of steampunk RPG on the PC, period.
@dicknasty: Just you my friend, just you.
There must be cake somewhere on this one:

It looks like that Peter Molyneaux game. Man and his dog gams for the Loss.
speaking of Fallout 3..whats goin on with the egg contest
:(
Fallout 3 is easily my most-anticipated game of 2008. I'm going to get a new rig just for when it comes out.
Oh, and the pic where the guy is getting his leg blown off is just fucking awesome. Yay 'M' rating!
looks like a mess of blurry textures to me
Poor skeleton thing, all he was asking for was some change and maybe some food but all he got to eat was bullets!!
Looks great from the pics, i hope this lives up to the hype.
if you havent play any of the fallout games before..you should know that there were a hell of a lot of zombies who were either neutral or good guys (aka they were nice to you). so i think they took the scariness of the zombies a little too far, as i believe them to be more along the line of undead thugs and theives rather than "brraainnnns! brraaaaiinnns! we want your brains so that we can figure out what to do! braiiiinnnss!!"
btw: harold FTW
@mbeck: hahah, for some reason when I read your comment the first thing that came to mind was that it was something T-Rex might say...
@jrghoull: I think that's Lenny, Harold never really came outside ;)
anybody else a little 'meh' over these? I kind of think they arent too impressive. Hopefully the gameplay isnt destroyed by going into a 1st/3rd person perspective. God I miss the original fallout games.
@jrghoull: I'm fairly certain the only way you'll enjoy The Elder Scrolls 5: Fallout 3 is if you haven't played any of the other Fallouts. That way, you will have no idea what Bethesda decided to shit on to make this.
Now before I get flamed to hell and back, let me just say that I have very little doubt that this will be an enjoyable game. It just will have very little to do with the games I spent many months of my life playing the hell out of, and as I just couldn't get into Oblivion, personally, I feel as betrayed by this as Leonard Boyarsky... though admittedly, I had nowhere near as much personal involvement in it's development as he did.
@jasu78: *holds back on the flamethrower*
I really don't see the difference between this and the other Fallouts so far, aside from the fact that it's first person instead of third, combat's a bit faster and you can't shoot rats in the crotch.
My only gripe is I don't have much faith that they'll keep the weird pop culture references I came to love of it's predecessors.
I think you're overreacting. -_-
@jasu78: ...want a hug?
@jasu78: Actually, they leave out the ability to grow fruit on my head, I'll burn down the Bethesda studios. Radioactive Cranial Horticulturalists ftw.
@jasu78: Cry more, and don't play the game. I've played Fallout 1 and 2 extensively, tried my hand at Tactics (it wasn't so bad) and Brotherhood of Steel (ugh). I'm hyped for this game. It looks awesome and from what I've seen in the articles, they're doing their best to keep the same vibe and dark humor.
I'm definitely lining up for this one.
@jasu78: Yeah, I feel like both Elder Scrolls and Fallout are both dead to me. One, a series I've been with since Arena (actually Daggerfall, and I worked back) and one I've barely played at all.
I probably oughta get on Fallout 1 & maybe 2, before #3 hits. So I can be genuinely disgusted. Or surprised.
