He made a mistake with using TP Link and SSBM (OoT Link) as part of the evolution chain of Toon Link.

It should have been straight from Majora's Mask Link to Toon Link. Twilight Princess Link (who came after the Wind Waker) obviously had nothing to do with the evolution of that character's design.

oh and using Giga Bowser as the end of the evolution of Bowser... yah no.

Because of the position that they're in, going from right to left, it looks like Mario, Wario, Donkey Kong, Pikachu and Yoshi literally crapped out different generations of themselves.

When you look at it that way Donkey Kong's is freaking hysterical.

YesyesyesyesYES for using the Sonic Pocket Adventure (For the Neo Geo Pocket Color) sprite. Here's the only problem, though- SPA came out AFTER Sonic R- notice the green eyes. I think it came out after Sonic Adventure 1 as well... yeah, not placed right, but still, that game deserves some credit.

It's not the evolution of toon link, it's just the evolution of link, Period. Both toon and "normal." It's kind of retarded, yeah, but I guess he just didn't want to give what is ostensibly a single character two different chains. That'd be unfair, or something.

How the hell does Zero Suit Samus fit at the end of that line up? It should either not show her outside the armor,or show a seperate time line that starts with her bikini-wearing NES sprite.

@Erwin: They are not that bad, i just hope someone at nintendo thinks that a SSB in the DS is a good idea, that would sell even more DS units, and overload more the wifi connection XD...
Also, some cave draws are pretty good, some dont, but i once saw ones that where beyond the skill of the average modern homo-sapiens sapiens...

Why has Nintendo dialed up the "cuteness" on Yoshi so far? In thier attempts to make him even more lovable, he's become an atrocity I would expect to see on some godawful Saturday morning cartoon for preschoolers. I want my green dinosaur back, dammit!

Not only that, but Luigi has become a certified sissy. He used to be Mario's equal (he's even been the better jumper on a few occasions) and now he's panicked and running like a little girl. Did they really intend to do this with his character all along?

Personal fan of the Samus evolution, and the Donkey Kong evolution. Love both sets of pics. Also, using Giga-Bowser as the final picis awesome. That's Bowser in megabadass state, the way he was supposed to be all along...a giant, spiked, fire breathing turtle that looks like he was ripped straight out of a Godzilla movie.

Come on, surely SOMEONE is able to do one of these and actually keep them in the correct chronological order, regardless of any 3D-2D backtracking.

That said, I was going to post something bad about the image, but this one was done a little better than I thought. Normally you see these things and they have the GBA versions next to the SNES versions and it's just stupid, but this one suprisingly didn't do that. Although, I am going to complain about the inclusion of the completely different characters included. Like having Wind Waker Link with Regular Link, sure, they're both Link, but I consider them completely different characters. And Giga-Bowser is 100% a different character than Bowser and has no place in that image. Same for Zero-Suit Samus.

One last thing. Notice how all the final pictures are from promo/reference/whatever images? The earlier images are in game graphics, yet the newer ones aren't. So, overall, it looks nice, but if you're looking for accuracy...it's certainly not here.
