Next week, the "HMX Pack" of Rock Band bonus tracks—previously only available via the Official Xbox Magazine—will be released from its physical confines and arrive on the Xbox Live Marketplace via digital alchemy. The pack contains the following trio of jams, each of which will be 80 Microsoft Points, bundled for 240 Microsoft Points. PlayStation 3-style Rock Band owners will get them on or soon after April 15, when the PlayStation Store reappears, for 99 cents each.
- "Rock Rebellion" by Bang Camaro
- "Shake" by Count Zero
- "Super Sprode" by Freezepop
We should note that Bang Camaro features approximately 14 lead singers, so make sure you have plenty of hard rock lovin' friends available to perform "Rock Rebellion" with authenticity.

Ha! I already know these songs too well.
Prepare to be bested, guy who actually buys this pack!
Also: Super Sprode is oddly addicting.
Also also: Getting you're buddies together to sing Bang Camaro in unison doesn't work too well, as demonstrated by these people:

Weak, I already have these...
Bleh
Sprode is freaking awesome to play guys. Its a must have.
However, this makes me sad that I paid 12 bucks Canadian back in the day for these three songs, and the free coloured toilet paper, when I could have had them for 240 points (3 bucks give or take).
Toilet paper wasn't even that good.
I'm glad that they're coming through on their $1 song promise.
i'm fairly certain that these songs were in Issue 80 of OXM. and they were free on the disc.
Goddamnit, I already have these from OXM. So between last week's "Still Alive" sillyness and this, that's essentially no new songs for two weeks.
Where the f*** is Nevermind and Who's Next, Harmonix??
@TheOtherBarber:
Yes, they were free.
Rock Rebellion is ****ing awesome, you must buy it. Super Sprode isn't bad, I'd skip Shake.
Looks like I can go ahead and spend my points on the COD 4 map pack then because I'm not going to need them for Rock Band this week.
@TheOtherBarber:
They weren't free, they cost 12 bucks. The toil... I mean, magazine, was the free part.
*COUGH* Zeppelin, AC/DC, Van Halen, Beatles, U2...?!?!?*BS*
Count Zero's okay. The other two are great tracks. I'll have to nab them, as I didn't get any special toilet paper with a demo disc.
Count Zero doesn't even have published work. The best MP3 a friend could find to complete his collection included the in-game sounds. Ding!
bleh
@Mavwick:
You can't count not being published as a sign of quality. Some of the best songs from GH 1-2 are done by the guys at Harmonix, their own 'in house' bands.
Hellz yes, Super-freaking-Sprode
i am happy
shake is a dissappointment, but the other two are just grand
Already got these... mannnnn. I wanted something new. :(
Is 80 msn points more than 99 cents,knowing M$ i think i already know the answer but a somewhat exact number would be nice if anyone knows.
For everyone who doesn't have Rock Rebellion yet, download it. Play it. Love it. Bang Camaro is a band for the ages.
God damn it, I paid $10 for the disc :(.
Hmm just because I'm willing to pay 2 bucks for these songs doesn't mean I should have too. When will Sony adjust the damn prices on PSN? (By that comment I mean canadians have to pay twice what U.S. residents pay for these songs).
@GOLD5: They said they were trying to get songs like that.. Never promised us.. LRN2RESEARCH
@GOLD5:
Like its easy to get them on vidya games. Don't you think there'd be a Zeppelin pack already if they could produce em?
What is with their obsession with Bang Camaro? That band sucks. WHYYY??????
Blarg!!!!!!! No thanks i will pass on these ones.
@mcmurder: It's a HMX band, just like the other returning bands. See: [en.wikipedia.org]
Already have these songs, Sprode is a lot of fun
already have them so lame!!! give me my Metallica Pack 2!!!!
Now I'm happy I didn't spend money on a magazine I never wanted to read.
exclusive doesn't mean what it used to. Oh well lesson learned on spending more for less. Now can we please get some decent new DLC?
@SlowDeath420: 80 Microsoft Points is equal to $1.00 since 1 MP is equal to 1.25 cents. So yeah, there a buck a piece.
Lame, wheres the real music updates.

Super Sprode!
All of these songs are fun as heck. Rock Rebellion is espically nice for bass players.
So what's with all the OXM hate? I mean, it's a video game publication. When is something like that bad to read? Do you guys not agree with their agenda? what?
OXM is a very tiny magazine with a large price. That is why no one likes them.
Sprode has the WORST drum chart in the game.
Urgh, I hate Freezepop, fuckin' Nickelodeon songs...
Have they even released it in Australia yet?
If they have, I haven't seen any.
I've had these since the magazine released them. It's a bummer. It's a bummer, dude.
At least mine were free. I'm not saying theft. You can say theft.
Uhg, If I had waited I could have avoided the Count Zero song.
I WAS TOLD IRON MAIDEN BLACK SABBATH AND METALICA WERE SUPPOSED TO BE UP AT THE END OF LAST MONTH! WHERE THE HELL ARE MY SONGS!?
As somebody that bought a $10 magazine for the "exclusive" 3 tracks, I am not happy. After going through 4 guitars at launch, why is EA/Harmonix making it so hard for me to be happy with this game? I'm not washing my hands of the game yet, but I'm right there... Not cool...
Nice, Bang Camero AND freezepop, I will definitely be buying this.
Aren't these all Harmonix dev bands? Where's my Say Anything - ...Is a Real Boy or my AFI - Art of Drowning/Black Sails?
@XWonka: The OXM hate comes from the fact that for weeks OXM was hyping and promising that you would never be able to download these. They would only be available on their cd, ever. So they suckered me and I'm sure a bunch more people into spending $12. I hope they reply to this fact on their next podcast. I'm pretty upset about their flat out lying.
where's afi and say anything? they're at the bottom of your purse with your guyliner.
Can people that bought the Xbox Magazine pack get the HMX Pack for free just to fix the name of Super Sprode?
@Luis:
Suckered? I, and you, have been playing those songs for months. You get what you pay for.
I always kinda had a feeling that they would become available someday. I even thought thay would be free. I waited for the first halo map pack to become free before i got it. But i couldn't wait for these songs to be free (or to pay less for them later).
My thing, i don't think OXM is a bad publication. Expensive? HELL YES! But you pay for that f'in demo disk. You have to.
And sometimes... just sometimes... that disk has something awesome on it. And the magazine itself is a good read for one simple reason. It's about video games. I could talk to a moron for hours if we're talking about videogames. And i will have left that conversation with a better grasp on my opinions and feeling about the industry. You can always learn SOMETHING.
but $12... yeah. i can understand that, but my argument had nothing so much to say about the songs, more about defending a credible and decent publication from internet trolls.
