Ken "the Father of the PlayStation" Kutaragi is set to score another industry honor this year, dragging the former Sony Computer Entertainment exec from the comfort of his pajamas and back onto North American soil for another round of fawning. The Consumer Electronics Association announced that it would induct Ken into the CE Hall of Fame in October, along with 11 of his industry peers, according to a report from GameSpot.
After receiving similar accolades from the Entertainment Software Association and Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, we're worried Ken might let this all go to his head. Who knows what engineering insanity he could devise if he ventures into mad scientist mental territory?

I want Sony to re-hire him.
"Mad-scientist mental territory" would be fantastic for Sony! Not that they need it, but a little ingenuity mixed with a hint of insanity is always welcome in this medium.
I miss him already :(
You fools! You've awoken a madman!!!
Good job Ken. I say he deserves it thanks to the PS1/2.
He looks funnier than Miyamoto in that picture with the master sword and shield.
I love those guys' sarcasm.
When they finally figure out that his console is going to be doing really well now that they are actually trying to market it.
i love how in every pic he looks like a mad scientist, but hes one hell of a engineer.
@Amazon_Chris: He should be given it for the soundchip used in the SNES.
And he deserves it!
Congrats, Ken.
Why does he have one grey eyebrow and one black one?
Why don't they give awards to ALL the people Sony squeezed out since the first PlayStation?
Loved his PS2, haven't bought his computer that looks like a grill, to many ridiculous SKUs
Hall of Famer? maybe we see a wrestling match...Kutaragi vs Hulk Hogan? :P
For making PlayStation a Sony-branded-turned-generic household name with Camcorder and Walkman, I salute him.
That's awesome. I love Ken. He's so cool. And he made the PlayStation brand. Literally.
You win!
God, it makes me sad that he's just faded into obscurity. What the hell is he doing these days?
Well deserved. That man pretty much made the Playstation and changed the face of gaming (for better and worse... well, I guess weak 3rd party titles always existed.)
